Yes. If JS would draft Grey Zabel or equivalent at 18, Jared Wilson in the late 3rd or 4th and another day 3 OL, I wouldn't complain. A very green center but a lot to like about this kid. Hopefully Olu isn't near his ceiling. I think some of the guys they bring in for visits are for day 3 decisions & possible undrafted FA signings.

He is coming in for a visit, supposed to be the top rated center in this draft. We need to get better at this position

Thoughts
He's basically the only Center in this draft worth a damn. Some people like Monheim, McLaughlin and Majors but Wilson is quite possibly the best. Not a deep center draft

^Nice post. I would leave the and/or out & just stick with the "and". That would be jacked up.

Compared to our own Olu:

Same height : Jered 6'3", Olu 6'2 1/2"
Same weight: 310lbs. 309 lbs
Arm: 32 3/8", 32 3/4"
Bench: 23 reps, 29 reps

Very similar, don't you think?

I'd like to see some move stats too, but the big difference here is strength. Olu got pushed around when he made his first starts and Wilson doesn't appear to be at that level even. Also, Olu's been in pro weight training for two full years now as well.

Olu is fine, this is his breakout season.

The group of Laumea, Haynes, Bradford, Jerrell just doesn't instill confidence that we have much there. We need to draft a couple of higher picks to create competition within the group. The worst that could happen is the line gets younger, the best is something big happens with both the starters & backups.
Our OL problems haven't only been lack of talent & coaching. Injuries and lack of depth have played a part too.
This whole devaluing OL is messed up, this ain't the Arena League.

I'd be happy with Wilson in the 2nd round. He is a highly athletic lineman and he graded out good in zone blocking.
