My view is Jamal will look rusty and slow, but he should make it through his limited snaps just fine and hopefully contribute on a couple of his snaps.

Everyone's worried about his thigh muscle recovery, but I'm far more interested to see how he tackles with the repaired shoulders. Is he gonna just run around and try to hit people and not wrap up like he was in 2021 and half a game last year? Or is he actually going to test those shoulder repairs and tackle?

On the bright side the shoulders have had an extra year to heal.

Oh this will definitely be the healthiest Adams has been, and will ever be again. Now that he's seen most of his contract, there's no reason for him to hold anything back. He better let it rip tonight.

It will be interesting to see if his energy rubs off on the rest of the team. It certainly did when he came here.

It will just be interesting to see his "style" of play. Will he go flying into opposing players as usual like nothing ever happened or will he make some "business decisions?" The latter doesn't seem to be his style.

Like I said, Jamal has nothing to lose now.

The balancing act will be on Pete's part, with how many snaps he gives him. Which IMO won't be many this game, maybe 10-15? You don't throw a dude who's suffered as many serious injuries as Adams out there for 75% of the defensive snaps and hasn't had any physical contact in over a year.

You ease him back in with a couple early series, then see how he's feeling.

Ints aren't his forte but if he can be a force pressuring the QB and/or roaming the middle of the field and break up passes in our soft underbelly then he'll be more than worth keeping around.
Jacking up your plays before they get started, TFLs, good get in the way coverage, on top of the instinctive qb pressuring skills

Adams is a Seahawk player. He will be that for the remainder of the season. That is a fact. He has worked extremely hard to get back on the field. So naturally we should all be hoping for the best for him this remaining season. All this hate just shows that you have a complete lack of understanding of what he had to go through to get back to being able to play again. I hope you rock Jamel

Fans can be fans of their teams while still having objective opinions about their teams. In fact, it's a much healthier and more interesting way of discussing sports, rather than just rah rah everything's amazing no one's ever allowed to say mean things about our teams and players.

I rarely come on to this sight because most objective opinions are based on complete ignorance

People have long since made up their minds about Adams. NOTHING he does will ever be good enough.
I laugh at it, but trust me on this, it will never change. He's basically Satan around here it seems
A 3 time All-Pro and according to many on dot negative, he just plain sucks.

People having a negative opinion on Adams because;

1. He hasn't lived up to his trade and/or contract
2. Even when healthy he was poor in coverage (especially after the labrum tear)
3. He started making business decisions with tackling to protect his shoulders and hand
4. He wasn't exactly the rah rah teammate his coaches wanted him to be while rehabbing

These are all ignorant? Cause these are 90% of what most of us objective fans have been discussing with Adams for the past 2-3 seasons.

No one's doubting his toughness, or what he's been through rehabbing, and I certainly haven't seen any fans wishing him failure tonight or at any time he's come back. But just because you see negative opinions about Adams that make you feel bad doesn't = ignorance.

Adams sucks
Pete Carroll needs to go
Geno is not the answer

But this team with a rash of injuries may be able to go 3 and 1 before they go into the Bye. That is very hard to do. Injured players are coming back. Just maybe the team doing a lot of things right.

But many here just want to complain about things

He's a hell of a football player who needs to stay healthy and help this team get better overall on defense.
Let's see if it happens. IF he stays healthy, he will contribute. I'm as frustrated about the injuries as anyone, but getting pissed at a player for being hurt and/or calling him soft? Now THAT is funny.
Then again, I'll take the opinions of NFL vets like K.J. Wright and Dave Wyman over fans from their couches every day of the week.
Both of those guys are very high on Adams. They know what the hell they are talking about.

Let it be. You'll never win. People either believe in the guy or they don't. And that's fine. Concerns are warranted, I don't deny that.

I'd put the Adams criticisms in a different category than the chicken littles on here who always complain about Pete and Geno. Because Pete and Geno have proven them wrong, Adams hasn't yet.

And I hope he does.

This is the same way I see things. Adams has the opportunity to prove folks wrong, and we'll see what comes of it. Make no mistake though, Adams knows what people were saying about him. As he said, he kept receipts.
