I understood that reference...

Despite my recent status as a lurker, I was here when he was. Did he really pass?

"PLAYOFFS OR LAYOFFS" - SeahawksFanSteveHarper.
I'm not sure, he was always a hoot.

Yea, I'm in the same boat, been lurking .Net for a long time and only post every now and then. I can't even remember the username I had back then. Think it was The Walrus or something because of Holmgren.

There's always at least one toxic negative poster.

All I know is if Tariq and Withersponn can evolve into lock down corners, then maybe Adama can play a role as a near the line box safety/pass rush specialist. One can hope, can't they?

It's going to be revealing how the defense schemes to contain Darren Waller. Waller has been the leagues fastest listed tight end at running his routes and is considered a hybrid. So he is a match up factor that will affect personnel match ups.

Every game is unique. Should be fun for fans who like 12 and 13 personnel and the affect on defensive personnel.Monday night's match up should be a treat.

The best is yet to come.

I’m ready to see JA back on the field.

The negative comments about a guy that gets injured, playing football nonetheless, are…….disappointing.

On another note, if you click on a user’s name, there’s an ignore button. 🤗

Yeah I had to drag out the ignore feature again this week. Threads like this and Geno ones are a lot more readable now.

When I still see calls to fire Pete and / or John I start thinking burner accounts. Russ, Mark Rodgers...

What the hell are you actually saying? Other then complete nonsense?
Why is it every thread I see you in, you are always engaging in some fight with another member? We're all Seahawks fans. Is it really a blood sport, posting to the forum?

I for one find it off putting how many silly little fights some threads become.

Disagreeing doesn't have to mean animosity...

I hope Adams is fine and productive. TBH I expect him back on IR long before the end of the season.

Some players, once hit with serious injuries, never do get over that. I have a feeling the guy's career has been over for a while. I hope I'm wrong, but suspect not.

I think it's going to be interesting how Seattle matches up with him? It's going to be interesting to see if the Hawks man up way more than they have in the past because of Spoon and Woolen starting. I think we are going to see some different looks especially because the Prez is back.

Seriously though, what are the odds Adams finishes the season on IR again? Has to be well over 50-50?!?

Don't get your expectations up is my advice. I think this guy will just be riddled with injuries until he retires. It's like that for a lot of guys.

Clearly he doesn't heal fast either.

Such a negative viewpoint.

Frankly disagree on the “slow healer” remark.

A quadriceps tear is a nasty generally career ending injury that many never recover from, but here he is back and determined to play. The timing of his return is in fact ahead of schedule and shows determination to play again. Agree completely that he has been snakebit with injuries yet he comes back. He is not a malingerer in any fashion, evidence being him deciding to fuse his broken and dislocated fingers to allow him to play quicker.

He is a willing tackler who is prepared to sacrifice his body for the stop and has paid the price. When healthy, and sadly since his first year here hasn’t been that often, he is a player that tilts the field for his team and one who must be schemed for or bad things happen for his opponents.

It is fair to grumble that the return on the trade for him has not been as good as expected and his injury history since here has been significant but he brings a swagger to the D and when on is worth watching, he makes a difference.

Love Jamal Adams, and look Forward to watching him play. He's a lightning bolt on the field, and lays the wood.

I've been upset about what we've paid, and what we've missed by not having those 1st round picks, or the the cap space, but I've never doubted Jamal's passion for the game.

He legitimately hurts emotionally from not being in the field, and I feel for him there. I'm also very glad he had the good fortune to be able to do his recovery with Jordyn Brooks.

Despite the disappointment, I think he's the type of player that can push this defense to becomes a perennial Top 5 Scoring defense.

We give up a lot of yards, and hear about it all of the time, but I could care less. Points are the only stat that matter, and this defense has the necessary parts to be one of the best.

Clint Hurt is a good DC that is still learning, JS has loaded the defense with talent, and once they gel, I believe it will be Top 5 in Scoring Defense.

Ya its funny, Ive "lurked" this forum for a while but isn't the whole point to be able to talk about opinions / see another perspective
I like the posts from the guys that just sorta hash it out with logical points, wrong or right its hard to say.
only thing that is right is hindsight

I have my doubts about JA's return when I read about the injury and what he went through. Twenty weeks in a straight leg cast? Wow! That's five months of doing nothing from at least the waist down. I don't expect him to be back at full strength for awhile, if ever. I hope to see him make some significant contributions, would love for him to, but I'm not holding my breath. Serious injury he's coming back from.

For sure dude, I personally think hes gonna be dead weight this year, cap or ability otherwise.
He should be gone after this year, strictly from a cost perspective. BUT unless he comes in on a white horse and makes INTS in critical moments that bring us to playoffs and more
maybe keep him around

No way to make up for the trade, it is what it is just like: Rick Mirer or Aaron Curry or the Boz.

Hoping he can helps us the rest of the year. If we can get just a little more help on the D- it’s gonna be a decent year.

God I hated Mirer! I always wanted to go to a game in those years with a sign reading "Retirer Mirer".

Can''t make up for it in a 1:1 sense, not a chance.
look at the 49ers and trey lance, that was a straight shart in a bucket. Or even better Wilson and the Broncos.
All in all Seattle can make up for that trade in a year or two, just gotta cut the bloat at safety position when it makes sense
