Funny we all have said what's going on with the pass rush, we have some guys, nobody a star really and they may work on the edges, but what about interior, run and collapsing the pocket, we just lost Jackson probably for the year and career, most of us thought we needed bodies there before this for both rotations, yet we keep bringing in WR's and yes a LB pass rusher.

Are we that set or are we hoping for a name or names release late?

Or is Clowney the guy all along and we are just playing coy?

I have been hoping for a quality DT as well, yet there doesn't seem a rush to get one like in past years. Perhaps the cuts will generate a good option. Right now I'm more concerned about our DT rotation than our DE pass rush.

Injury Updates From Seahawks Coach Pete Carroll Following Sunday's Mock Game

Pete Carroll on the decision to place Branden Jackson on injured reserve, as well as other Seahawks injuries.

Taylor, who was away for the birth of his daughter, "is still a few weeks away," Carroll said. "It's going to hard for him to make the opener. He's going for it, but we've got to get him on ground running more than he has so far. He was away for the couple of days with the birth of his daughter, but he's steeped in rehab right now trying to get him right."

They've got to pick up another veteran DT before the season starts.

No way we can go into game #1 with only Ford and Reed and Christmas and Johnson as backups........that is a TREMENDOUS drop off in talent and production.

DT's get banged up, we can't rely on Ford and Reed to play 100% of the snaps. Just can't.

Cuts are coming soon, and John Schneider is all over it! :2thumbs:
This.

Seattle will pick up some veteran free agent and plant them in at discount.

I think Norton might as well move Collier to 3 tech for the season ... That way dude gets to play some which should help with his learning process ?

Oh man, timely topic! We need our Tony McDaniel and Clinton McDonald for 2020!
Not to mention our Cliff Avril for 2020! That rotation and depth was so important in 2013.
It just feels like we're gonna have a couple more solid contributors drop in our laps and maybe even one more surprise star player. Maybe even Clowney. Definitely the D-Line is the area where we need help, but especially the interior rotation right now.

Brandon Mebane is FA. While he’s probably long in tooth, he still may be effective in run stopping. He was a major part of the interior DL during the SB run.

Gerald McCoy is still available. Just 32 years old, a proven leader and very productive every year. Go get him, Hawks!

Can he play on one leg? Blew his quad in Dallas camp, released via injury settlement.

Oops... I missed that

FA options are not so great then, except for the probably very expensive guys Dareus and Harrison.

Been calling for them to get Harrison for a little while now. With that said he or Dareus will not be expensive.
