I am.

Back to basics. Russ needs to utilize short passes that gets the first down. Especially 3rd & 4 and 3rd &5.

We need to run more.
We need to control the clock more.
We need to stop letting the D play too much. Many teams know that in order to beat the Seahawks, they have to run the ball efficient and they have to control the clock.

We need to stop our opponents with the 2 deep safeties.
We have to exercise short term 1st down throws.
We need to bring the play action back more.

I think with running the ball more, the 2 tight ends would benefit a lot. Talking about Dissly and Hollister and especially Parkinson.

Once again Problem is PC hates short passes he wants to run and get chunk plays IE long passes. Also, FYI in first 5 games we did throw short a lot and then went long, PC stopped that

Folks keep saying that but I don't remember it. I know that I think we threw less to the te and rb position than in previous years. Which would lead me to believe that in total, the short game was sidined all year. Our early success came on deep shot after deep shot. Fast scoring and high scoring which is part of tge reason the D struggled because TOP was so bad. Bad TOP is not the hallmark of a healthy short passing game.

I would disagree there. The first 10 weeks or so, defense was horrible from the 1st drive. Didn't matter if it was the first quarter and they were fresh, look at the Bills game

The defense struggled, because the defense was bad. Pete was okay with high scoring until the defense started to player better. Regardless of TOP, which wasn’t bad for the first 6-8 weeks.

Russ’ time to throw in early games was just above average. The team actually attempted to get the ball out quicker in some games and failed.

And people thinking that you can't pay a QB if you go heavier on the run. Um, look at the playoffs. Running teams are VERY successful in the playoffs. And that includes teams with high paid QB's. You CAN and SHOULD have both. A solid running game is massively important.
But, for some reason it's cool for other QB's to have a run heavy offense, but not Russ?

One thing that really worries me is that we fixed a major issue with this team. Now we might have it again.

The Seahawks used to have a love affair with FGs, especially in the 1st half. Our RZ % was not great.

Say what you want about Schotty, and I was pretty upset with the hire, but his RZ % was fantastic.

If we got inside the 20, we generally scored a TD.

This was huge, you need to score 28 points to win a game as an NFL team (not sure Pete knows this, honestly)

The worst outcome would be the return of PeteBall with the return of our godawful RZ% and FG after FG in the 1st halves of games.

Fingers crossed.

Right now our roster does not even fit the run, run, pass stuff. So the real title of this thread should be:

"Is everyone ready for more 3 and outs?"

But maybe a good OC would love to come in here, be under Pete's thumb, get blamed for any failures but have to run everything through Pete on gameday so that failure was assured. I am sure we will get some sterling OCs that would love to have their career tarnished like Pete seems to do to every other OC he had.
