Iron forged into steel.

Seattle is taking their lumps and building character, while getting reps for the depth players. Not ideal, but in the long run this isn't necessarily a bad thing.

It's one of the reasons Saban was so great. By the 4th quarter with such a huge lead, he'd rest starters and put in backups to get experience and learn.

This is why you put teams away as early as you can, allows you to rest starters in the 4th q.
I actually think we are in good shape injuries wise. Obviously knight making it back from concussion protocol and jones returning next week are strong hopes as is Love returning from IR

They rested guys like Jones this week. Hopefully a few come back next week or the week after

Late in the season, or the playoffs. There's no point to rush Mills onto the field...
At the rate we get hurt, I think there is and besides that it helps
to get game experience asap so next year the learning curve isn't
much for him.
I really liked this guy at ND, he will make an impact on this D.

I’ve been shouting about Rylie making it back on this forum for what seems like months now and I think it’s ever clearer he is expected to be a rotational piece (at least) by the end of the year. Mike is now indicating he will join practise in a week or 2 now with perhaps most of the 3weeks allowed before joining the roster. What a luxury piece to be able to add at this point; our D line is a force as it is.

On the rest of the injuries; obviously the only ones with more longevity are Horton, Sundell and Reed; the latter I imagine is a niggling injury that will be difficult to fully heal so hopefully it’s something he can manage and play through when his IR stint is finished

Hopefully Love can return next week post IR with no delays and also the knee injury isn’t going to be a recurring week to week issue for Jones to have to work through
