I'm here to put my hands up and say I was wrong about:

1) MVS
2) Kight
3) Cabeldue
4) Ivey
5) Haynes
6) The Seahawks 2025 win total.

Ok. I'm still holding out for that last 1. 😉
Good luck. 😛

Keeping 6 wide receivers is a bit strange, but I wouldn't be surprised if that changes once the initial wave of practice squad sorting is complete.
A couple of them will be very involved with ST and it seems to me like they go with more 3 WR

Definitely, in terms of ST.

But I think more than 2 wide receivers won't happen very often. I-form with 3 wideouts means there are no tight ends on the field.

I could be wrong.

Don't think I've seen John go so lopsided, O-27, D-23. Suspect he carried it based on talent threshold vs overall roster depth. Surprised they didn't go 3 TE's with Brady Russell 2x duty FB/TE.
Thought Brandon Pili or Quinton Bohanna would have stuck.

This offense is going to need to be potent enough to score points and keep our defense rested.
There must be a nose tackle out there they want to claim/sign and drop one of the TE’s or something

How do you cut Pili and keep Bryce Cabledew. Makes no sense unless they move him to the practice squad. Big bodies with run stuffing abilities like Pili are rare

Pili was one of the *two* I recall that I thought might make the initial 53 that didn't. But I'm not going overboard about any of this. We'll see what happens when the PS gets filled out, and any other changes that might be made amongst all the available castoffs.

I've seen some buzz about the Cowboys being fed up with NT Mazi Smith even though he made the 53... Cowboys took him in the 1st round 3 years ago.
Dan Quinn decided he needed to lose weight and become a penetrating DT, it didn't work... That's not his game, at 330lbs. he was a run stuffing nose tackle for Michigan when coach Macdonald was there... He's only 24... He may be the guy they are wanting to get.

This is my number one question...who's going to play NT?
Do you really need a NT in a stacked front defense that frequently crowds the LOS? Serious question, I'm no expert.

Three fours work best when you have a dominant nose tackle. Something we have been missing. A good nose tackle is not a sexy player whatsoever. He just is an immovable object that clogs up the middle, takes on double teams and pushes the the OL backwards. This allows everyone else to make the plays

Yeah I understand that, I'm just curious if there's a legitimate workaround with MM's defense or if it's a weakness that will get exploited no matter what scheme

I was a little surprised with the RB/FB/TE dynamic and thought Pili was worth keeping on.

I wouldn't overall that he's some fantastic prospect though.

Big college guy that went undrafted and made a team. Made it through a second camp and was cut then was signed by Seattle during the season. Wasn't exactly an impact and the team has gotten a good look at him

Could be a PS guy.

Again, I would have had him in there as I think he's intriguing enough at an underrated, but important, position and was making noticeable plays

I just can't being myself to outrage over it though
