Seahawks Brendan Nelson, quoting John Schneider's presser: Schneider noticed the synergy between the front office and coaching staffs have improved.

toffee has been advocating to fire and hire new scouts as we haven't drafted well, our result has been average, not bad but not good enough. Schneider addressed that concern by pointing to the old regime with Pete as czar, and the lack of synergy between coaches and the front office. In the current regime of having Schneider as czar, synergy has improved.

It's what has been reported historically but the really pro-Pete crowd would get upset every time. We've had leaks from scouts and inside the building that Pete would go rogue sometimes and go against the scouting department and it lead to a couple of the head scratching picks we all know about over the years. This is all rumors of course but it seems likely and now John talks about how they are much more aligned now.

I seriously hope this is a massive change for the good. They needed to self scout and figure this stuff out.

We’ll see. One all pro player in the last 10 years. One!!!! There have been over 400 selected in that time span and only Tyler Lockett has made it and made it twice. Over 400!!!!

John Schneider, lacking his newly discovered synergy with coaches he hired, has been the KING of drafting low to medium-graded starters. No all pro, those are stars; few pro-bowl; many starters, but some of those couldn't find a job once they left the Hawks.
