XL is the one that still gets under my skin all these years later. The first Pats SB was our own dumb fault. Plus, nobody ever brings up the miraculous series of events that needed to take place 2 weeks earlier just to be in that SB. But XL was complete and utter BS. There was no way the league was letting us win that game. I'm convinced there was more behind the scenes shenanigans that we will probably never know about. That fat POS Bettis can suck it. Same with Little Ben Worthlessberger, Joey Porter, etc. Such a despicable bunch.

Agreed. NFL had no intention AT ALL for the Hawks to win 40. During the commercials, they may have had 7 or 8 Steelers players already holding the lombardi...I think the only Seahawk one was Holmgren. I watched that game with a buddy whos a die-hard Steelers fan, and even he said the Hawks got hosed big time. And to add the baco-bits to that suck salad, the head ref, Levy, publically apologizes for it 2 or 3 years later.

I remember Buttass was promoting a book after that SB and he said in the book or in an interview something along the lines of "We knew, heading in, there was no way we were losing that Super Bowl."

Yeah, I bet you did know that, @ssh0le.

This team is one bad officiating game and one horrific call on the one yard line of having 4 Lombardis.

Grateful for our two of course but it does cross my mind.
Butterfly effect my friend.

Seattle wins XL , Holmgren doesn't go anywhere (possibly)

Seattle wins XLIX, Pete is still here.

Honestly, it still hasn't hit me we won this year. I'm not sure if it hasn't by now, will it ever?

Because of the XL officiating fraud, in my mind, Seahawks actually have three Lombardis - one with Matt and Shaun's fingerprints all over it, one with Russell and Marshawn's fingerprints all over it, and one with Sam and Kenneth's fingerprints all over it. Imagine. It's easy if you try.

I've heard this comment a lot from fellow 12s. The only explanation I have is that we skipped right over that 2012 type of season. It doesn't always have to be a gradual process. Sometimes it's just your year!
For MM and JS it was like tossing them two Rubik's cubes and they toss it back to you a couple seconds later fully solved.
