I didn't read any of the comments, so forgive me if this is redundant:

No. Stop it. Geno is our starter and will continue to be for the next 2-3 years. No backup in the league is going to improve our team. Russ was, is, and will forever more be a cancer. Our QB of the future is most likely riding the pine this year whether it is Howell, PJ Walker, or someone on the roster of another team. There is no need to pursue another QB this year.
This is Geno's last year here without a contract restructure.

Yeah, not happening. METHREE would never allow that scenario.

I agree with this. He’s only playing on his contract to be a starter. If he was happy in a back up role the Steelers wouldn’t need to cut him

Besides, I like what he did here. I want his next contract here to be a one day contract to retire

This is truly a laughable proposition. Russell burned his bridges on the way out of town. There's no way that Mac is going to want to bring in a distraction like him for a backup position. He'd lose half his fan base before the season even gets started.

I can't wait for Wilson to retire, sick of hearing about him "returning to Seattle" by way of some dumb@$$ "what if". There is an entire team of dudes who want to be in Seattle, focus on SEAHAWKS players.

Let it go already, damn.
