What? He had nice completions on contested catches. Idk man...at least two tough catches.
I suppose, but I mean, this is after nearly taking a horrific sack (well, safety) and stalling out immediately.

Again, I see some positives, but really not many from Eason himself other than his insane cannon. The vast majority of the whole drive was penalties and a muffed punt.

That was the drive before the punt they stalled. Now he took em down there again. Im not crowning anyone. Just appreciating what i see. Almost 2 tds on this drive. One to fuller...one 2 whiteside.

He showed real promise starting at about five mins. And like three of his throws could have resulted in tds then. Not bad under pressure.

I really gotta disagree.

I think if we're going to neg Geno on his third down conversions getting killed multiple times by mistakes that weren't his, then we REALLY gotta neg Eason for stalling the offense several times, only getting moderately going when a muffed punt and DPI drove him down the field.

Otherwise, half the throws were misfires

I am trying to be as absolutely objective as possible here and throw out every factor other than what the passers did on a given play to evaluate them

He's very raw but he generated a spark of intensity and hope that was otherwise sorely lacking. Sadly it's too late for him to challenge Lock or Smith.

I don't really think he generated it so much as the team generated it

The muffed punt comes to mind moreso as a catalyst

The hell it is!!! Lock and Geno havent earned anything. Neither one of them have done anything significant in real time against better caliber players. Lock has had whole season plus of starting time and look where he is now. Playing for a different team. Not sold on any of them, but i think lock and eason need the opportunities.

Agreed, the game became more interesting when he was put in. He & Fuller showed some urgency and played like the game was still winnable (even though it was far from that).

I... still cannot see the urgency angle considering the very, very bad start Eason got off to?

Yeah he was like 2 for 11 throwing to Fuller just great.

Very bad? You are stretching man. You started this thread after two very nice intermiediate lasers in the middle of the field. That after they finally allowed him to throw, once they ran the ball unsuccessfully 20 times in a row. Ok...not 20 times. Just seemed like it. I think you are just sad this may be...the beginning to the end... to ya boy geno.

It may not have translated into results, but they looked like they were *trying* to earn a spot on the roster. Can't say that for everyone *cough* Forsythe *cough*
