That's unfortunate.

The man that was attacked is from our state.
People are idiots. All wild animals are dangerous, and why people that have zero experience with wild animals feel that they need to get out of their vehicle to take a picture is beyond me. They have no idea how fast an animal can close distance, and they certainly aren't going to outrun them.

They can get the same picture from their car window, and be able to drive away if the animal charges. The dents in the car can be repaired. You can see in the video that the guy had no escape plan. And it looked like that white car tried to pull up and give him an out.

This really pisses me off, especially ever since the "Bear Man" took a trusting woman in to Brown Bear country without a weapon and got them both killed, along with the Bear.

I used to fly and guide out of Umiat, Alaska, and guided for Brown Bear out of Cold Bay, and I always treated the animals with a healthy respect. I also flew for Fish & Game doing wildlife surveys, darting and collaring Bears, Moose and Caribou, and that put me close to a lot of them. They can all easily kill a human, and most of them will do so only for self preservation.

So when I see people continually getting out of a vehicle where they are relatively safe, then put an animal at risk of being euthanized, all for unfathomable reasons, I get pissed.

What really baffles me is that there are videos everywhere of people getting messed up by animals (dogs even), yet they continue to walk up to them.

So, f**k this guy. He deserves a meme. Maybe it will prevent some people from getting out of their cars, and even have some yelling at people who do.

Amen, couldn't agree more.

I went on a Bison hunt/harvest last year, doing another one this year, and the rancher spent 45 minutes briefing me on the dangers of the Bison. Ho-lee-chit, talk about a POWERFUL and FAST animal. All these tourists getting gored and/or sent into low earth orbit are straight up morons who don't understand the back country or wildlife. Go get an SLR camera with a big lens and live to see another day, for F sake.

It's all about the Gram!!!...............until you're 6 feet under. So many selfish, oblivious morons out there.

Was reading today about all the stuff a Bison is capable of. Impressive. Can run up to 40 mph, can jump 6 feet high, and can easily pivot while running full speed.

It's a freaking bison. An incredible animal that is capable of doing mucho damage to a human. You can tell it was not having it for any sort of reasons.

I've never really been around wild animals but even I know not to be that close. Plus the man had his grandchild with him? Way to put himself, the animal, and a child at risk...

I'm not trying to 1v1 a 1000+ LB beast of any kind, I'll let someone else win that Darwin Award.
