I am a little confused by some of his play calls. Playing away from our strengths and identity at times.
if you are talking about how we are leaning on the run, i think its the right thing to do. We cant keep throwing it against a good defense without trying to establish a clock chirning run game. Especially if we dont know how steady the QB is going to be. Better to pound the rock, be selective about our pass shots, and start to try to open up the screen and short pass game. The Rams are very obviously taking away the deep shot. Kubiak should be able to exploit the short and middle stuff. And continuing to run forces the Rams to commit to stop it, shich gives us the best chance of hitting the big play over the top.

So you are Ok with losing and not bothering to win if 'it's close"?

You win with your best players. Your best players are your WRs, your QB, and your defense.

Hitching your wagon to some of your worst players (the RBs) is a great way to lose...but not get blown out. There is no winning this game if you don't score TDs and running the ball in the RZ is screwing your ability to score TDs.
i guess that one way to look at it. But n ste strategic game that is football, other teams can take away your 'best players' and your stratgey has to be adaptable to be able to win in other ways. And BTW, the HC of the seahawks doesnt want to be a pass first team, and he didnt get this QB to be a pass first, win us the game type of player. Sam is most reliable when he doesnt HAVE to win the game. Is great that the pass game and JSN has been good so far this year, but the passin game has also turned the ball over more than it should. Mike is doing the right thing in trying to establish the run. Besides, it keeps the Rams O off the field.

I'm happy about establishing the run. I expected play action in a couple places that they dropped back. Seems play action would have had a real shot on that play. One specific play at the goal line just before halftime and the 3rd FG.

Yup, now I understand the play calls.

The problem is that Walker is essentially worthless if he isn't running to the outside. And you aren't consistently running the ball to the outside against this defense.

Meanwhile, Charbs is slow. He might get you 4-6 up the middle but rarely is getting you over 15 even when he breaks one. He is a good threat in the passing game though.

All of this is magnified in the RZ. You can use these backs to get inside the RZ but you have to pass the ball to get TDs against them.
Our other problem is that Darnold folds against the Rams like an Ikea deck chair. Inconsistent RBs paired with terrible QB play, doesn't give us much chance unless our defense can score TDs.
