Can we not have our flowers without the damn Rams and 9ers in our way?

As of Sunday night I assume the division will look like this:

Rams 10-2
Seahawks 9-3
49ers 9-4
Cardinals (whatever who cares)

What in the holy mother of baby Jesus is happening here?!?

How in the world is the 9ers and their depleted team winning?!? Must have sold their souls to the devil I guess.

Rams? Old Man Rivers just keeps plugging away, to the detriment of our chances to win the division. McVay is way more the nemesis than Harbaugh ever was.

So sick of these teams. Can they not die a good movie monster death already?

Grrrr.

I'm curious, what happened to the mindset of most of the posters in that thread.
Seemingly, most thought it was good for the Hawks for the NFCW to be competitive.

If you weren't of that mind, I understand - however, if you were, what changed?

The talking heads all prediceted the NFC West was a shootout between the Rams nad the 49ers with us fighting the Cards for 3rd place. Just be glad we are in the mix.

By the way if we beat the Rams at home and we both finish with the same record who is likely to win the tie break?

Surprisingly, the 49ers currently have the best NFCW record @ 4-1, and best NFC
record @ 8-2. The 49ers have 5 games left to play, with 2 in conference, and only
one of these in the NFCW

Rams, NFCW 2-1, & NFC record 4-2
The Rams have 6 games left to play, and all of them are in conference, with 3 of those
within the NFCW

Hawks, NFCW 2-2, & NFC record 4-3
The Hawks have 5 NFC Games left on the schedule, with 2 of those within the division.

Do what you will with this information, as the scenarios are many.

What sucks even more than being in the only division containing three bona fide juggernauts is watching certain teams in other divisions have wins handed to them on silver platters since the other teams in their divisions are made up of Pee Wee Hermans. But I sometimes look at being part of the NFC West as a cool thing: we are from that foreboding powerhouse division that all others fear.

Yeah it does suck. And the teams tend to beat each other up too. The Patriots Dynasty was built on an AFC east with 3 other teams that tended to be absolutely atrocious.

Oh ****.... and to add insult to injury they only play one team, US with a decent winning record to close out.

They get 2 Cardinals games of all things, and we get the Colts and THEM back to back.

FFS.

Edited. Sorry for the double weird post :)

Thanks, I should have said so but I think if we beat the Rams the most likely result is it goes down to common opponents or SoS.

The Rams still have to play the Cards home and away, which you would expect them to win but they could lose one, I think we would be favorites to beat the 49ers but it is far from certain, therefore we are both likely to have a 4-2 or 3-3 in the NFCW.

A Hawks win over the Rams would give us both 3 losses in the NFC so if we finished tied on overall record it is more likely than not we both have the same record in the NFC.

I haven't gone through all the common opponents guess I need to do that when I have time.

So far, only important common opponent is Bucs. (Rams W, Hawks L).

However, both teams still play the Panthers and Falcons.

Colts outstanding too. (Rams W).

49ers 9-4
I could see the 49ers dropping this one. Browns defense is one of the best and apparently there is snow in the forecast. Purdy does terrible in weather games and has been a turnover liability this year

Not only that -- and as Niner Fans know -- Gym Shorts gives Kyle fits.
The 49ers last victory (41-7) against the Browns was on 11 November 1984.
Since then its been:

Other divisions have similar action going on. Mid season. Nothing unique about this - except for the defensive dominance in the NFCW - which bodes well for playoffs as long as we can stay out of each others ways

I'm still thinking a competitive division is better. The NFC West will have 2 maybe 3 teams in the tournament.
