There is no reason to use him

Again. That should be Carson.

Unless you like losing.

Carson being hurt is a reason.

Not a great one.

Carson being hurt doesn't change Hyde into a better than average back.

Far from average I've been watching him since his 49ers days. Ironically he came in the year Kap left, he didn't get a good deal with , the browns or Jags. He had 1000 yards rushing with Houston . Hes legit

He was Wattsons go to guy in Houston . 0-3 this year with out him & hopkins

Most ANY RB is, at best, average behind a below average O Line, especially when he get's only a fraction of the opportunities. Hyde has proven himself regardless derogatory opinions.

He’s explosive. And I couldn’t be happier that we have him. Hell of a team player and talented

will we sign Lamar Miller to take Carsons spot or rely on Hyde Homer and Dalllas?

Hyde, Homer, and Dallas with Penny hopefully coming out of the chute in a few weeks. If we're going to make moves, they have to be on D.

We were fortunate to get Hyde. He played like a #1 in Houston last year. Glad we have him.

Average starting running back but a great number 2. Seems like they're using him a lot but i'm assuming they're just trying to keep Carson healthy.

I haven't seen any update on Carson to know the extent of his injury. Doubt it's a long term thing, but a twist can be deceiving. Thankful we have what we have to cover while he gets back to norm. Nice to know Penny is in the wings.
I'm kind of anxious to see Dallas get called up. Homer has looked pretty good, better than last year. Hyde is a proven performer we can count on.

I don't hate Hyde.

I hated how much we were using him.

Carson is the guy we needed to use.

Yes he got injured. But some are acting like we were preserving him because he was too brittle or something.

Hyde is there to get you short yardage when you need it or to spell Carson. Carson wasn't running enough to need to be spelled.

And it wasn't an issue of Carson being brittle. Carson got injured because of brutally dirty play after the play was over. You don't hold your top ten RB out because the other team *might* play dirty to injure him...unless you are playing a team with a history of it enough to expect it.

We were just using Hyde instead of Carson. And yes I hate that because Hyde is no better than average. Using Hyde twice in a series almost assuredly means you are punting. It makes no sense.

Now we have to use him. We are stuck. But let's not pretend this is a good thing. He should only be rushing enough to keep the defense honest. Rush him sparingly. Because he isn't going to be any kind of threat. Or pass to him, a screen or pass to him in the flat is fine.

Carson got hurt because of cheap shots by two guys. 100 percent on purpose.
Just heard that Carson may actually play on Sunday. Wow

Not sure how you can determine a RB is average with only 16 carries.

I'm 100% confident with giving Hyde the majority of the snaps if Carson's out a couple weeks. He's tough, hits the hole hard and can catch out of the backfield. He only had 100 less yards that Carson did last year.

Weird thread OP. Hyde seems perfectly fine to me, especially in the roll he has as a 1-2 punch. Even if Carson misses some games I feel absolutely confident with Hyde back there.
