How do Pats match up with us?

I think pretty well. Big physical RB, Gronk will be Gronk, decent pass defense....hopefully we can burn Revis a few times. Our defense will need to turn the middle of the field into a death trap just like last years super bowl, and the offense can't turn it over like they did today.

But then again our defense is so good I cant see them scoring more than 14 points. GB scored just 22 when we turned it over 5 times.

Our defense simply needs to be lights out and stop Gronk and the run. Aside from Brady's arm - they match up quite well against us.

Not to mention that is with only 5 FG and 1 TD!!!

NE isn't going to get more than 2-3 TD against this defense here.

How does their OL stack up against Green Bay's? Because we didn't pressure Rodgers for crap today and Rodgers will hold the ball. Brady is adept at getting it out quickly. I think the LOB can limit their passing offense even without pressure (as they did today), but I'd like a sliver of hope that we can pressure a little.

I think they match up extremely well, not to mention Belichick with 2 weeks to prepare is far different than John Fox.

It will be a tough game. I'm worried about them nullifying our WR's and leaving our offense to sputter around like it did today for most of the game.

Right now I give them the advantage.

Bellichick is doing wonky things with formations that will give us tons more to study.

Brady gets the ball out uber quick and his WRs have great hands.

They can run the ball, so they're balanced.

They get better pressure than GB does, although they blitz a lot to do it. If Russ can recognize and diagnose the blitz, we might be ok.

Their secondary is way better than our WRs.

AT this point, I'd say we're the underdogs by 6 points.

NE has the 6th best offense per DVOA. Green Bay's was #1. Seattle's offense is ranked higher than NE.

NE has the 11th ranked defense. Green Bay's was 16th.

We won't commit 5 turnovers. LOB will dominate NE. Hawk win.

Not having Mebane & Hill makes things a lot tougher IMO, then throw in Richardson. Hill offered the interior pressure that gives Brady trouble and was starting to turn it up to another level before his injury. Mebane is the run stuffer that would have kept Blount from getting any easy yardage up the middle. Richardson would have been the mismatch we'd exploit on Browner whenever we're given the chance. Maybe ADB can get matched up on him, pull off a double move on a few occasions, and get Browner to bite just enough to give him plenty of space for Wilson to hit some of those touch passes. Still confident, but I think this could have been another dominant Super Bowl showing if we had those 3 guys. Will be tough, but I'm more confident against the Pats than I was the Packers and this is the matchup I wanted since before the pre-season started.

Manning & Brady in back to back years. Only one more 1-0 to accomplish.

Exactly.

I think this game will come down to the Seahawks offensive staff. They simply no longer have the luxury of counter-punching and dryhumping for a half. Got to call all-in. Their best shot is RO. The RO adds a lot more thinking to the opposition.

Advanced stats favor Seattle. I was more worried about GB honestly.

I am much more worried this year than last. The Patriots are built to be Seattle kryptonite.

-dink and dunk capable QB that can cut up our LBs
-strong opposing o-line
-quick release QB able to neutralize pass rush
-strong DBs
-Bowling ball of running back
-Decent pash rush

Seahawks have to 100% purge the demons from this weekend to win

Except the RB, you just described Denver last year.

We have ways to counter that, Bevell just refused until the end of the game.
