Interesting, the Pats didnt face a single RO team this year. They only faced one in 2013 and lost, Carolina. Lost to two in 2012 , Seattle and SF. So 0-4 against the RO, I wonder if they will be ready for it.

Good thing Belichick is good friends with Saban who had great success shutting down the read option in Alabama. I expect a lot of consulting between the two over the next couple of weeks. ;)

Yeah Saban sure seemed to shut down that Ohio State spread option game.

Excuses.
Loss in Seattle two years ago doesn't matter, according to this genius. But the only way to beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl is to have a pass rush like the Giants did. More than 2 years ago. Way, way more than 2 years ago. So the way Seattle beat you doesn't matter, but the way the Giants did does?

You still suck at this.

Lot's of teams have beaten us in the regular season, kiddo. Only 1 has beaten us in the SB, and only a handful have beaten us in the playoffs. The vast majority of those losses have been to teams who could get pressure up the middle.

OK. I understand now. You become immune to regular season woes as soon as the playoffs start, unless playing the Broncos without your new free agents and injured players. Thank you, I almost made the mistake of watching regular season games to see where the Patriots were really good and where they can be beat, all I needed to really do was watch old Super Bowls and playoff losses.

No, you see Scott ... it's like this -- it's become crystal clear to me that the Patriots don't apparently have any weaknesses whatsoever. They're the perfect football team. It's only the Seahawks and every other team (besides the Patriots) that have soft spots. I just thought that I would clarify that for you.

Your defense will be exposed in 2 weeks.

See I really don't understand posts like this after so long of being a dominating presence. Exposed signifies that there is a huge flaw on our defense that no one has exploited yet, that the patriots are going to repeatedly pick on. What are your patriots planning to exploit that we don't already know is a weakness on our defense? ie our depth at Dline, run stopping through the middle, getting pressure on good Offensive lines, quick underneath passes. Can you elaborate and tell me what it is the patriots are going to exploit.

The interior of our line will decide the game. The center of the NE D is not good; even Wilfork is getting pushed around. If Seattle controls the tempo, and score points, LaFell and Edelmen are not good enough to score the difference. And they will have to. Expect Seattle to focus on Gronk, and let's remember what this team did to Graham twice last year.

KJ Wright got the assignment on Graham last year and rendered him useless. I expect he will do the same with Gonk.

I'm a huge Gronk fan, so please don't insult him by comparing him to that soft piece of toilet paper known as Graham. I have absolutely no respect for him after i saw him run away from Bam Bam. I wouldn't even tolerate what he did in a powder puff game with kindergarten girls. Gronk is a matchup nightmare for anyone. Period. KJ will most likely need saftey help all game. I'm sure KJ and earl can slow him down. Gronk will get his, as he always does in every game. I say something like 49 yards and 1 TD kind of game. BB probably expects this and will use him to distract us all day long.

The Pats and Hawks are going to be an great game.

What is going to be funny is the mediots that think Hawks are going to get killed by NE because Russ had the worst game of his life today and GB started 6 drives on the Seahawks side of the field.
At this point, knowing what we know about this team and how they usually play, I'm not sure how anyone that saw that game today could feel confident about putting this team away. They just don't stop.

How many times do they have to prove it? They are just never out of any game, ever.

Atlanta 2012 kept coming to mind, Chicago in 2012, NE 2012, Tampa 2013, Houston 2013, the 2013 NFCCG, at Carolina 2014, Denver in week 2 and today against GB.

NE? Ok.. your good, but you are going to have to prove it and it might take 5 quarters.
This X 1000.
Hawks are always in the game and Russ is always ready to lead us to the win at the end. Does it always happen? Nope, but it does far more often than not. Seattle will be in position to win in the 4th quarter, of that I am absolutely positive.

I worry a little about Revis erasing Baldwin and leaving us with Kearse and spare parts in the passing game. I worry about Wilfork impacting our run game the way Pot Roast did last year, though I think Pot Roast was a much better player than Wilfork is at this stage in his career. I worry about Gronk and I worry about Belichick's bag of tricks.

But all those things together do not scare me as much as our defense should scare Brady and Blount, or as much as our read option threat should scare the Patriots slowish front seven.

If Seattle can contain Gronk while avoiding turnovers the way they typically do, then 16 points should be enough to win this game. I think Seattle gets to 24 with a mostly conservative game plan.
