There was one play in the 4th, where I beleive McDonald (?) got the sack.

McD pushing up the middle, Schaub feels him coming and folds to the ground before he was touched.

THAT is the stuff making the Houston fans nuts. He went down and waited for the sack to touch him. Conversely, there were a number of times where seemingly the entire Texan's D was converging on RW and he found a way to squirt out and try to make something of it.

If my QB had been the one falling down and waiting to be tapped out, I would have some issues with him as well.

You might want to look at that play again. And if that's what drove the fans to such a despicable act, they should too. Shaub had absolutely nowhere to go on that play. He diagnosed the play as dead and instead of making the situation worse (losing more yards, the ball, etc), he hit the ground. Think about it. It's no different than him sliding to end a run. He did try to make a play out of nothing just minutes before. That attempt resulted in 6 the other way.

Did I mention he was playing the best D in the league?

Yep, and just remember, all you Texans fans, Sherman has picked off way better, and certainly more notable Quarterbacks than Schaub, so Schaub is in good company, don't you agree?

Aside from Moon / McNair who has Houston ever had that was better? Stabler, Pastorini, Chandler? Hell no. If we didn't have the little guy, I'd take Shaub in a second. And he'd be one of the best QBs in our history, too.

If you're not going to give your QB 100% of the credit for a win, don't pin an entire loss on him either. Keep it within reason. "Burning" his jersey? That's just disgusting. A better fan should have offered a little slap therapy to those engaging in such horseshit.

There's like 10 REALLY good QBs to go around 32 teams. If you don't have 1 of those 10...who's fault is that? His or yours? A-holes.
Hear here! and a +1

There from Texas thats all you need to know.

What's wrong with Texas (besides the fact that the cowboys, unfortunately, reside in our state).
Greatest state in the union!
Nope, been there and was there for a long time, met a lot of decent folks there, but in all my travels ,I'd never met so many bragging s#it for brainers in my life. :141847_bnono:

The QB gets too much of the credit
The QB gets to much of the blame

Did I mention it's pink?

Not that you did, but don't throw me in with those "sore" losers & classless fans. As much as you think about your fans, I'm sure you've got a few stinkers as well.

Matt's not loved around here & hasn't been for a while. I'm not his biggest fan, but I know how hard it is to find a starting QB, much less a good one. & when you guys found Wilson in the 3rd, SF found Kaepernick in the 2nd, & RG3 & Andrew Luck gets their teams in the play offs (like Wilson did) their rookie seasons..... y'all make it look easy.

Think what you want of those punks burning jerseys & taking pictures, etc... don't lump us all in that group.

The Texan fans I have spoken with this week on forums have mainly been great. I wouldn't lump any fanbase into a group. Every group of fans have some unsavory types.

What coach calls a pass play in that situation with a qb that has a track record of folding like a cheap umbrella in pressure situations? Give Foster the ball and pin the Hawks back if he don't get it. I would want to burn Kubiak himself in the parking lot if they were my team. They will never win with him as the head coach much like Dallas will never win with Garrett. Easy to blame the qb as they touch the ball every offensive play but this fan knows better.

If they want to draft a qb, I am willing to give them extra draft picks to work with and we will take JJ Watt. That was an old school performance from the best D-lineman in the game with a broken nose and blood streaming down his face. Its the first time I've actually enjoyed watching an opposing player wreak havoc on our team. That guy plays the game the way it supposed to be played!

The same coach who stands by his kicker after going 0/3 in one game.

He's giving Matt an opportunity to prove he's not the guy most Houstonians think he is.

LMAO! Ya thats great logic for situational football. With thinking like that they will be trying to prove it in another city when they get pushed out the door together. Knowing the strengths and weaknesses of your players and team is a big part of being a great coach.

Half of the wins in the NFL come by capitalizing on the other team's mistakes. Sunday's game was Houston's to lose, frankly. They completely dominated Seattle in the first half on both sides of the ball, and should have just sat on it and walked away with a win themselves. Aside from that interception, the Hawks did very little to impress me against the Texans.

Schaub screwed up big time. I wouldn't go so far as to say that he lost the game for them, but that play definitely shifted the momentum in favor of the Seahawks.

There was also the Russell Wilson drive in the fourth quarter, without which Schaub's pick 6 would have been survivable. And the repeated defensive stops in the second half, without which Schaub might well have continued scoring. The Seahawks did more than just win with a convenient pick-6. They played the second half as strongly as Houston played the first.
