What do you expect from Cowpattie fans? They are truly the most delusional fans on the planet as witnessed by the fact that they still think the franchise is elite despite the fact that their most recent Super Bowl appearance was in 1994 and since then they are the definition of mediocrity with their .500 record.

I despise the Cowboys but they won the SuperBowl in 1996 (1995 season). 49ers won it in 1995 (1994 season).

To funny. Let me get this straight. The guy has a bead on the ball carrier and is ready to blast him but is not looking around at the rest of the defenders.

Gets knocked ass over tea kettles by an opposing blocker and he's a victim??

Typical 'Boys response,,,Hey you can't block one of our guys if he's getting ready to make a tackle. If that was the 60s or 70s the guy gets up like a man, says "nice block man" and goes about his business.

And if one of his fans talked about a illegal hit he'd have told them to shut up because this is a man's game and if you're not careful you get hit.

But the new 'Boys fans appear mostly to wear tutus and tights and pretend the field is a ballet stage.

Oh yeah,,,,,,,Tate was legally a downfield blocker nothing wrong with that. I agree he led with his helmet and got a penalty for it. But I'll bet that guy keeps his head on a swivel in the future.

When all the Redskins fans were trash talking us this year in the playoffs, one of them said to me, "Sorry, we're only so crazy because we have to deal with Cowboys and Eagles fans all the time."

Haha that's rich!
The way I see it, cowpie fans should be thanking Tate by exposing a glaring hole in Lee's game.
He will ALWAYS check for the block now! You're welcome... :th2thumbs:

Helmet meets chin. Perfect "object' lesson. The responses on their website are pathetic; they sound like a bunch of weak sisters...I guess that's what finesse football will get you.

I like how the thread completely derails into them essentially agreeing their team is the softest in the league.

At least they admit that.

Also

It was a good legal hit.. people crying about it need to quit watching football. If that was Dez laying out a LB everyone here would be loving it. This team is soft and the fans are even softer calling this a cheap shot. We've seen a million blocks just like this over the years and there was nothing wrong with it. Lee got snot knockered.. it happens to the best of them. I wish our receivers would block like this for once.

And many of them agree with him. I hate saying this, but some cowboy fans seem to be level headed and darn right pretty cool.

As a football player these are the hits you dream about. I can't figure out where people would get the idea that a shoulder to chest hit is illegal, no matter how hard it was. My only guess is that good ol' Rog has laid down so many rules and idiocy that almost any hit could be argued to be bad.

I especially love all the cowboys fans calling it a dirty hit when golden square up to hit him in the FRONT - dirty hit because sean lee is an imbecile and wasn't paying attention to a block? Mkay. LAUGHABLE.
Agreed. Where is the blindside in that?

Didn't he get a massive fine for that hit? Not sure how you can even argue that is was legal when the league reviewed it and handed out a fine.

What was illegal about it? Is it the 'see what you hit' factor? Is it Tate's job to make sure that Lee looks where he's going? Terrible play by Lee and he suffered as a result.

Like I said, the league can justify any decision when they have enough rules to pick and choose what they enforce. Tate got fined because he laid out Lee. Hit him too hard. We all know that if Tate held up while hitting Lee the same way he wouldn't have been fined. It was just Rog sending a message.

Legal hit. They are just butt hurt that (a) they under-perform every season, (b) they are stuck with Jerry Jones and Tony Romo, (c) our little WR snot knockered their big bad LB.

They dream of having a team like ours. We know this because anger, venom and hostility are signs of jealousy in fan bases.

I have never read a rule that stated a defender had to be able to see his blocker coming. Tate, on that play made a nasty, head on block. It isn't his fault Lee wasn't looking where he was going. I could see the fine if dude was truly blindsided from the side, but this was not away from the play and Tate was established in his position.

If it was a Hawks player that was hit, I wouldn't feel any differently about it.

It isn't often that a WR gets a shot like that, so I don't even mind the antics post play. It was a NASTY hit though.

The only thing illegal (technically) was the helmet-2-helmet which was nothing more then physics from Lee not being able to brace because he didnt see it. His head snapped down and thats when the helmets hit.

1) Tate didnt Launch until after the hit, which is completely legal. His feet were on the ground when contact was initiated, as evidence from the still shot.
2) His left shoulder is square in the chest of Lee with his helmet in contact with Lee's left shoulder. Unfortunately, the human body, and the size of helmets, makes it entirely impossible for his helmet not to be in that location with a solid shoulder hit in the chest. This is also evident in the still.
3) I have no idea how it could be considered blind-side when the still clearly shows the initiated contact is in the chest. Just because a player doesnt see you doesnt make it automatically blindside. Otherwise receivers would just run while looking away from defenders. Cmon man.

It's only a helmet to helmet because Lee's head drops down. It's not even the true definition of helmet to helmet. Unfortunately the league is pushing for finesse football and any hit that looks vicious will be scrutinized and if they can justify fining the player in any way they obviously will. Look at how many flags came flying out on the Kamtrack brain dislodging of VD.

That, and Goodell is controlled by the owners, and Jerry was screaming for a fine so he got one. Its how the system works unfortunately.
