Guys,
The seattle times asked me if I knew of anywhere in the Seattle area that people could go to and watch the game that doesn't serve alcohol (isn't a bar or restaurant).

Anyone know of anything open to the public?

I'm pretty sure I saw an article somewhere today where they said the Seattle Public Library would be showing the game in their auditorium.

I get that it's a third party asking and all, but hey...just because you're in a bar, or they serve alcohol where you're at doesn't mean you have to drink alcohol. Granted, some people should probably avoid bars because of the temptation, but it can be done.

I'm guessing there are some folks who need to avoid proximity to alcohol due to addiction issues. Being Seattle, it seems there should be some coffee houses that could capitalize on this. Other than maybe Alano clubs, I can't think of any good spots. Since I am lucky enough to not have substance addiction issues, I didn't seek out places like this when I lived in Seattle.

Great idea though.

I saw on Facebook that a library is showing it. Can't remember which library though

Perhaps these people just don't want to hang out with a bunch of drunk people.

ETA: And/or maybe they have kids.

Aside from the library event, i'd suggest contacting Seattle AA. You'd think they would know this sort of thing if anyone does.

The one in Bellevue (outside of Seattle) does. I don't know if I could survive more than an hour in the place with my niece and nephew without it.

Plenty of folks around that just don't want to be in close proximity to that type of atmosphere. I'm not one but i fully understand. Probably the best way to avoid trouble, is to not expose yourself to it.
I'm not saying alcohol causes drunks, nor am I saying drunks cause problems.
I am saying GOHAWKS

For sake of the question, just assume they're an addict and can't be around booze because of temptation. They should still be able to enjoy the game somewhere with like minded individuals. Finding a sober group to watch together might me an easier task.

Any good places to huff paint and watch the game?

Your garage. Or Fred Meyer but you gotta be stealthy about it.
