Personally, want Dan Quinn or whoever is the Ravens D coordinator. Too lazy to look it up
Harbaugh is the only name on current/former HC, that would move the needle.Current Offensive Coordinators
Ben Johnson, Lions
Bobby Slowik, Texans (from SF)
Eric Bieniemy, Commanders
Dave Canales, Buccaneers
Current Defensive Coordinators
Dan Quinn, Cowboys
Mike MacDonald, Ravens
Lou Anarumo, Bengals
Ejiro Evero, Panthers
Raheem Morris, Rams
Jim Schwartz, Browns
Jerod Mayo, Patriots
Special Teams Coordinators
Rich Bisaccia, Packers
Dave Toub, Chiefs
Darrin Simmons, Bengals
Former or Likely-to-be-available HCs
Jim Harbaugh, U of Michigan
Lincoln Riley, USC
Kalen DeBoer, Washington
Luke Fickell, Wisconsin
Brandon Staley, Chargers
Bill Belichick, Patriots
Sean McDermott, Bills
Robert Saleh, Jets
Marvin Lewis, Bengals
I don't think he does it well. Think his brand of it tends to alienate people, which is why he gets passed over so much.Bieniemy is known for chewing people out. Maybe that's what we need.
Doug Pedersen ran into similar struggles, for sureWe'd be lucky to see what Urban Meyer learned from his first NFL stint. He was a brilliant hire who set the foundation for a dramatic turnaround in Jacksonville, but their impatient idiot owner pulled the plug embarrassingly early because oh no he was mean to his grown-ass adult kicker who made millions to suck at his job. He was put into an impossible situation with unrealistic demands.
He's a proven winner who has turned things around everywhere he has been. We need a guy like him who coaches up to the competition, rather than whatever it is Pete has been doing in Seattle this year.
Definitely. Shredded in back-to-back weeks by Jake Browning and the corpse of Joe Flacco. He was given a much better situation than Urban was too.Doug Pedersen ran into similar struggles, for sure
We'd be lucky to see what Urban Meyer learned from his first NFL stint.
Urban not only lost games, but he lost the support of the entire organization. His assistant coaches, most of whom are succeeding elsewhere, hated him. He was described as an abusive and unreasonable narcissist, and embarrassed his entire organization by refusing to travel with his team after a loss so he could try to fingerblast young ladies at a bar.Definitely. Shredded in back-to-back weeks by Jake Browning and the corpse of Joe Flacco. He was given a much better situation than Urban was too.
Yeah, he really "underachieved" making Bowling Green and Utah relevant, turning Florida into a two-time NCAA Champion, and winning another championship at Ohio State while going 8-0 against Jim Harbaugh. Khan had the right idea, but succumbed to absurd media scrutiny for things that really weren't that big of a deal. He hurt a kicker's feelings and fingered a co-ed, who ****** cares? Urban had that team going in the right direction. Giving up on him 13 games in was insane. Rome wasn't built in 13 days. We saw the same thing with the Jets and Pete Carroll. You don't think they'd like that decision back? What? Arguably, an underachieving, narcissistic a-hole with anger management issues. This as the Seahawks coach?
I remember the same thing being said about a certain twice-fired NFL coach who was snatched up from USC.Urban is a college coach. Nothing more.
With Quinn we know the D would be good. He'd only hire a good DC mind. I'd also trust Quinn to bring in a terrific OC. He's learned a thing or two as a HC. Also had his team in the Super Bowl, but lost when Kyle Shanahan had a brain freeze in the 2nd half at 28-3. Quinn would be better and wiser in his 2nd go-round as a HC.I would include the Ravens DC-Mike MacDonald & the Lions OC-Ben Johnson on that list.
I'm not sure Quinn would make that much of a difference. He shares alot of the same qualities as Pete. Good DC, but mediocre headcoach that fizzled out in Atlanta.
Harbaugh would be the hire. But I like the idea of a younger up & coming coordinator.
Your pfp is giving you away. Everyone outside of Ohio hates the guyI remember the same thing being said about a certain twice-fired NFL coach who was snatched up from USC.
