Week 2 was actually a pretty close game. Don't let the score fool you, it was 3-12 going into the 4th quarter. Only until the 49ers started committing turnovers was when the seahawks started to run-up the score. Take away those turnovers and it would have turned into a game like we saw last week.

Uh..no. The score was close, but the niners were out of it midway through the 3rd.

Has anyone else been thinking how at C-Link the Hawks are destorying the 49'ers and how at Candlestick the 49'ers are just squeaking by with the win. 6 point game there last year and barely a 2 point game in the final couple of minutes from a clutch drive at the end. Anything can happen, but unless there are major changes I don't see the 49'ers doing any differently at c-link for at least another year or two and the Hawks are going to end up coming out with the w's at candlestick since the 49'ers can't pull away like the hawks can at their own stadium.

How much you wanna bet Carrol never wins at candlestick? :thsnooty:

Here's a news flash, the Seahawks have a elite ballhawking defense that actually does a lot of film study and preperation for their opponents which allows them to be able to create turnovers and opportunities for our offense.

I don't think anybody claimed that wasn't true.

Under Carroll and Harbaugh's respective stewardship the 49ers have forced 87 turnovers and the Seahawks have forced 90 turnovers. Hooray?

The difference is Caroll completed gutted and rebuilt our team....and now have the superior team and I will say will for the next 7 to 10 years

It was close until lets call it was it was a pretty cheap cut by the seahawks on our DT Ian Williams and then Eric Reid gave himself a concussion then it all went downhill from there lol. Ps* Craig Dahl sucks!

Just saying Seattle prob still wins but the score would have been like 12-3 id say.

I could care less how many times he wins there. After Feb. 2nd, Carroll will have 2 National Titles in College Football and a Super Bowl Title, what has Harbaugh won? The Fiesta Bowl? LOL.

Wilson is too focused on baseball you best hope you can even get that NFC West title now.

If we're going to count things that haven't happened, why not just give Carroll 20 Super Bowl wins? Dude, he's the best! ;)

He's a better coach than Harbaugh is...That's for sure.

But don't let facts get in the way

You mean when the Seahawks started forcing turnovers, why is it so hard for niner fans to give credit where credit is due?

Those turnovers didn't just happen magically.
The fumble in wk 1 against Carolina didn't just happen magically, it was a great play by ET.
The win against Tampa Bay didn't just happen, we shut them down and dominated in the second half.
The interception against Houston wasn't magical either, it was a great play by an all pro corner to seal the game.

Here's a news flash, the Seahawks have a elite ballhawking defense that actually does a lot of film study and preperation for their opponents which allows them to be able to create turnovers and opportunities for our offense.
we also have one of the best special teams units in the league that does the same. A bit sick of the whole Seahawks are lucky other teams turn the ball over crap...

When did I ever bring up any of those other games? Seahawks did a great job pulling off the win in those games and even in week 2, I never said anything about them getting lucky in those games I am talking about week 2 in the fourth quarter. Sure the Seahawks should get credit for the turnovers but at the same time they were still mistakes by Kaepernick. He was pretty much just forcing passes since he couldn't get anything done on offense the whole game and the Seahawks took advantage of it and turned them into turnovers. The whole point of my post was that the game was really close and turnovers were the difference and made the game seem far apart. Not calling them lucky or anything good job on there part, they deserve the credit, but the game was closer then the score indicated.

The game is never closer than the score indicates; there is no NCAA-esque ranking system or style points for how the score gets rung up. A four possession game is a whoopin' on any planet.

God this is reminding me of all the Patriots fans I've heard over the years tell me that they didn't lose to a better team or get outplayed, they just beat themselves.

You just contradicted yourself. If your team couldn't get anything done on offense, and being down 12-3 in the third then how in the world can you justify the game was closer than the score indicated?

You Niners don't get it. Regardless of what the score was and when...your team was obliterated in week 2. The players knew it was over midway through the 3rd and they effectively tapped out.

And the Seahawks couldn't beat the 49ers to win the division when they tried their hardest whats your point?

My point was attacking his point, but your point is deflection. But to address your point the Seahawks didn't need to win that game to win the division, nor did we have to win our games against your team in our house by a field goal in our final drive. Would it have been nice to win last week?

Sure..Was it necessary...nope.

More gristle for you niners to chew. Since this rivalry began in earnest beginning in 2011, the Niners have regresses, while the Cardinals, Rams and the Seahawks have progressed! That's a cold hard fact for you to deal with.

Enjoy the next 7 to 10 years because I believe that's how long it's going to be until the Niners even sniff the top of the NFC West.

Oh the Seahawks wanted and needed last week there is no doubt about it for a confidence point. If we get the 6 seed instead of the 5 we will see you sooner then any Seahawks player will want, we have the momentum now. The resting Juggernaut has been revived I know you're scared chicken little.

Me..a scared chicken?

If you say so.

I've bookmarked this thread, perhaps we should revisit it?

I can agree that last year at the CLink we got obliterated but in week 2? The only thing was obliterated in that game was the 49ers offense. Their defense was playing lights out, held Wilson to 10 points. Kind of the same low-scoring game defensive battle type of game we see at the Stick. The only difference this time was turnovers, Seahawks forced 5 turnovers which made the game lopsided. Imagine if those turnovers never happened and the score ended at 3-12 if the defensive battle kept going in the fourth quarter. Don't forget the topic of the thread, the OP is wondering why the games at the CLink are more lopsided then the games at the stick and I am simply saying that the Seahawks had caused more turnovers in the game at the CLink but other then those turnovers they were the same type of games. Don't confuse me with a troll trying to make up excuses for a loss.

Just a FYI.. I've seen some of your fellow fans say the same thing when they lost to the Colts and the 49ers. They beat themselves. :p Just wanted to point that out cause I felt it was pretty ironic.
