Well do you now want to change your vote? This is the last vote. No more gimmies. We will compare the 2 threads at the end of the season.

I'm officially predicting at least 9, whereas I previously put their ceiling at 8. Was wrong.
I stand by my last vote -Well do you now want to change your vote? This is the last vote. No more gimmies. We will compare the 2 threads at the end of the season.
You do remember correctly. I really loved that defense (I mean, not as much as that offense, which is still my favorite Seahawks offense I've ever watched), but they were like a defense that knew they weren't 'great' but didn't want to let a legitimately great offense down... and didn't.I'm having to upgrade my 8-9 wins to 9+, and I expect 10+ wins, the way the team is growing and developing. I'll go with 10-7 or 11-6. It feels now like we have a 50-50 or better shot to beat the Rams instead of being their bitch game after game. And the next 49ers game won't be a beatdown like the earlier one.
Never mind 2012... shades of 2005! Recall in 2005 we had the unstoppable Holmgren offense, Alexander in his MVP year, and Hass spreading the ball around. We had a below average defense, but they improved to be an "average and still improving" defense, with rookie Lofa Tatupu calling defensive signals (IIRC). This defense is legit improving, from historically bad, to a couple of "above average" games against teams with good QBs and serious skill position talent.
