Rusty Okung and Unger, Britt learning to play right tackle in the NFL, Sweezy needing to learn how to communicate seamlessly with Britt, and Carp needing some starter game time, got a feeling they will be out there a while.

Russell Okung definitely needs some "game time" to sharpen his lost skills. He looked pretty slow at times last night.

I'm not on the "they suck" bandwagon, but I'll agree they could use the work together.

How many games has our starting Oline unit played together?

Yes. Me too.. And I'd also like to see what Russell looks like with a pocket.

It truly is a godsend that we have Russell Wilson as our QB, because honestly I can't think of another QB that could succeed with our mediocre OL. I highly doubt even the best of the typical drop back QBs could succeed behind it, Manning, Brady, Rogers- and Wilson seems to be at his best a lot of times when he throws outside the pocket anyway thus why opposing defenses are always trying to keep him back there.

I know some can't stop ripping the line, but they look much improved so far.

J.R. Sweezy is playing like a bull in a china shop and I'm loving it.

Unger and Okung had poor games by their lofty standards, but the good news is the problem with them is rust-- not injury. As long as they stay healthy, they should round themselves back into form against the Raiders.

Carpenter's blocking has been up and down, and that's a big improvement over last year when his play was only down.

The big question mark is Britt's pass blocking. As long as Okung improves his blocking on Wilson's blindside, I think he can deal with a rusher barreling down his right side. The problem occurs when both tackles miss their blocks. I expect we will see a lot of Zach Miller lined up on the right side to help Britt.

Eric Winston took reps at both right and left tackle, so he could be a reserve at both spots.

We face a gauntlet of great pass rushers this year. Britt will need a short memory.

I'm hoping to see Okung get his stamina back, and I'm also hoping that the O-Line can work on that Continuity gig, because there was too much disruption last Season with injuries and all.
AND, yes, I love it when a defender or two goes sprawling while trying to get ahold of Wilson when he scrambles

Been a while since one of those 'wtf holy crap big balls Pete' moves. Cut Okung and trade some picks for a proven tackle. Though granted there's not too many surplus above average tackles in this league.
