Jody has done a great job overall, but it does have to happen at some point. It was Paul's direction, simple as.

Jody's job after this championship win (if the reports are true and they are starting the process after the game) will be to make sure the franchise is sold to a party that will keep the franchise stable, financially sound, and ensure that the organization remains the class of the league.

Always a little angst there, but it does have to happen.
And the franchise doesn't wind up in another city.

Goodell is certainly playing politics here, and staying vague.

If someone like Bezos bought the team, what city in the entire country without a team would qualify better than Seattle? Why would anyone want to move a team that already has such a strong base and relationship with it's city/region? It really makes little sense.

According to the owners rules an estate cannot own a team unless the head of the estate owns more than 30% of it or something like that. They are trying to brush it under the rug until after the superbowl. Once this game is over the NFL will force her to sell the team.

I also think Craft leaked the sale after the Super Bowl.
I think you have bought the hype.

The billionaire boys club pushing for the Bezos-Seahawks acquisition. I don’t necessarily see this as a bad thing. I remember Jerry Jones saying Bezos would be great for the league not to mention the Seahawk franchise
I’d take whatever Jerry Jones say with a grain a salt, he’s been saying a lot of things, like he wants to win the most Super Bowls before he’s done, and he hasn’t sniffed a Super Bowl for 30 years. If he says Bezos would be a great owner, I’d think twice or three or four times about that.

Probably fitting him for a seat on the Glory hole Bus.

Some pushy billionaire(s), knowing that owning an NFL franchise is the ultimate cash cow, are certainly pushing Rog and the good ole boy fraternity of NFL owners, to "make that lady sell."

Jody has proven she cares and knows what she's doing. I hope she holds onto the team for another decade.
I prejudged our current owner, because of her actions as head of Vulcan in Oregon. Or alleged actions, she was accused of sexual harrassment of male employees. I don't know if it is true, but she seems to be a more "hands off" owner now. Which is how I like a team Owner to be. Of course there were a very few who were positives, and meddled. VERY few, the owner of Dallas was a positive, until he went MAD with power. Jack Kent Cooke of the Redskins was involved and positive. The owner of the Raiders, was a certified madman. Benching Marcus Allen for being TOO GOOD? Too Good looking? Well spoken, productive. Total A hoe.

When I first moved to Belltown in 2006 I used to wander up to lower Queen Anne in the afternoons. There were nights when a game was going on, and I had no idea. Seahawks fan base is a far cry from the Sonics toward the end. If everyone who wanted Bennett's head had been going to games, they would have been sold out with thousands waiting outside. The fans were there when the team did well, then disappeared. Seahawks aren't going anywhere.

Okay...so, if we win, the sale could be for a record amount?........who buys "high"? Next year(s) we could take a step back (hopefully not) then what happens to the value?

Sad story, but different sport and audience entirely.

Football needs considerably more population to support a team. And don't come back with "Green Bay," which is an obvious outlier. I even have my doubts about Las Vegas long-term.

We are talking ownership changes and the new owner bolting with the team, Behring and Bennett with a lot of help from Shultz saying he doesn't care about the fans undermined the franchises. Hell the Celtics were almost moved out of town, not to mention Selig moving the Pilots to Milwaukee and then again them being moved to Washington DC. Buffalo lost their NBA team to Neworleans who then lost it to Utah. Vancouver Grizzlies to Memphis. Kansas City Omaha Kings to Sacremento. Then we have the Raiders and Rams bouncing back and forth between St Louis and L.A. and Oakland and now Vegas, Chargers up state to L.A. where that Fan base supported big time. In fact if a California owner put in a bid I would be wary of us going to San Diego.
