K9 still was a threat with his explosiveness, but not having Charbonnet as the change of pace down hill thumper was really noticeable in the game today. Holani is okay, but he's no Charbonnet. Hopefully he's able to go Thursday night against the Cardinals.

Charbonet is a huge piece of this offense. He was missed today. I hope he gets back ASAP

Is he out for a while?
There hasn't really been word on that yet, but a couple of the DBs were back practicing Friday, while Charbs didn't participate if I remember correctly. He also clearly wasn't himself against Pittsburgh. I hope it's not long term because he adds a lot to the offense overall.

Good news is they didn't IR him, so they think it won't be 4 games before he's good. 🤞

Charbs wouldn't have faired any better running the rock yesterday. The saints were playing the run, there were very few holes to be had.

I think last week proved that Walker can run between the tackles as well as a any back on this team. Can we please stop with the K9 can't run downhill narrative. Let's not forget, walker actually had a few good runs negated with penalties. His numbers should've been better.

The Saints were using 5 man fronts much of the day. Kind of hard to run on that, especially outside.

Fact is, though, that we didn't give up on the run game and K9 had some decent runs later in the game, partly because we threw a few times to open things up, and because we kept at it and wore them down.

In his initial limited appearance I thought we saw a few good carries from Jarcadia Wright until he lost that fumble. I'm sure his position coach made it clear to him that he has to protect the ball or there is zero chance he'll see the field again soon.

Charbonnet will be back soon as will several other starters that the team was able to play well without but is better with. Witherspoon, Love, and Emmanwori will make the team even stronger when they return with Charbs.

Seems like the Saints whole plan was to make Darnold beat them. Not let us run.

How'd that work out?
