He does seem a little hesitant to me. Maybe I’m wrong. In understand why he’s doing it and I like it on some levels but I think the best geno is a little more gunslinger and maybe he’s working towards finding that balance. No one is shitting on him and no one is trying to wreck @DarkVictory23 ’s night by pointing that out.

This debate is goofy, I actually gave Geno some props and people still get wildly emotional about it, it’s weird to me but regardless we won today.

I think Mike addressed this after last weeks game where he said he didn't want to take the explosive playmaker out of Geno but at the same time Geno needed to make better decisions. I think this is him addressing that. I mean, if you go from something you know to trying to incorporate something different, I think there is still a learning curve for that even if you have been in the league a while. Given that his defense is playing at an elite level, this is probably the best time for him to work on his decision making in case we have a shot at going deep in the playoffs.

Yeah I think so too. I even told dark and Chapow that he’s trending in the right direction and just trying to fine tune it but it’s improving. Why that causes such strong emotion I’ll never understand but here we are. Anyway good post man.

First of all it’s the game day forum, it’s designed for people to let loose during the game, you understand this right?

Yes. Does that mean we aren't supposed to disagree with others opinions here?

I’d argue that after the fact when someone points out a small issue with Geno and the response is “yeah Geno sucks” as if that is even remotely close to anything I said as emotional.

So again since you didn’t seem to get it…. No one said Geno sucked when we were discussing him (which is where you jumped in). I simply said I like that Geno isn’t forcing throws and causing picks but my worry is him being so worried about picks is neutering him a little bit and when he strikes that perfect balance the offense is going to explode: that causing you and dark to have massive issues with my post does seems odd to me.

I love this place but man people get so emotionally attached to a side that having a fun discussion is hard.

@IndyHawk and me have wildly different opinions on Russell Wilson yet we still laugh and give each other crap about it in good fun. That’s the way it should be.

See, I think part of the issue here is you feeling like when people disagree with you, that equals "massive issues" or someone being "wildly emotional".

I'm just responding to your posts. I don't have massive issues with you or posts, and I'm not remotely emotional about this discussion. If I see an opinion or comment I disagree with, much like everyone else, sometimes I respond. I thought that was kinda the whole point of this website. I think you might be reading into people's comments a bit too much.

You’re still missing my point although you’re free to disagree. I’m not criticizing him taking the check down and have now said it 3-4 times yet you keep repeating the same thing. I don’t think you really want to get it though and would rather bury yourself in this us vs them debate.

For the 5th time. I think the best Geno is what he’s doing now but a little more gun slinger and he’s close. What he is right now is much better than leading the league in picks so I’ll take it. The Geno we said in the first half of 22 is the Geno that is smart with the football but pushes it down the field, I hope he’s trending in that direction.

Does that sound like Geno hating to you or do you want to keep repeating the same thing over and over?

You do realize that post was a response to someone else's post, not yours, right?

Generally speaking, the post that was quoted is the post being addressed. So I'm really not sure why you're responding to that post as though it was directed at you. It clearly wasn't.

Fair enough. I was referring to dark telling me for the 20th time that I said Geno sucks when I didn’t. It gets old week after week and then you came in and had a problem with me correcting dark it seemed. It just gets frustrating that even praising Geno means you’re saying he sucks so I probably lumped you in with it.

Again fair enough. My bad.

When you look at what Geno has done with himself over time it should seem impossible to say he "is trash" or any related comment. He has become a great person, a competent leader, and seemingly is still making improvements as a player. My hope is he can maintain this newfound ability to avoid turnovers. That alone would raise his value as a QB and teammate. To me that is the most glowing of the stats he recorded today. He did his job anyway you want to look at it. When he gets in trouble it is usually because he tries to do too much, as though he has to carry the team on his shoulders. That is not the case and I think we may be seeing him realize that.
Everyone can only be their very best one time. For that reason it might be reasonable to suspect we have already seen Geno's best. But it is only natural, for him and for us, to hope his best is yet to come.

whoch is exactly what I said before getting accused of not being able to talk about Geno.

I literally said he’s fixed the turnover issue and once he sprinkles in his down the field stuff that makes Geno who he is on top of it the offense is going to explode. Good post Appy
