How did Pete get Brady and Chip to sign off on this trade? Clearly Geno isn't a Brady type of QB and Chip passed on Geno twice during the draft in 2013 after Chip travelled to West Virginia to interview Geno.

They were always going to need to address the QB position.

I appreciate Geno for his time here, but the high water mark was hit and the investment increasing for an aging QB.

I think it's a fair deal for both sides and wish him the best

Interested to see where this goes. Not a huge fan of Darnold, but not sure he couldn't get near Geno production.

Never dull.

Which third did we get I wonder? They had two picks in third round.

No difference than Pete saying Russ was staying

Not that I have an issue with Macdonald saying what he said, but the tee we o situations are NOT the same.

Russ wanted the trade and went public. Pete was doing damage control.

Holy schnikes! I knew this possibility existed but damn. Big changes. Maybe DK knew all along and thats why he wants out.

Anyone know which 3rd pick we got from the Raiders? I believe they have two. They Raiders organic 3rd rounder is close to a high second.

What is a "Brady type of QB?"

I don’t mind trading him, but for the 92nd pick, I think again Seattle got the lower end of the deal. Most of the time I hate the compensation that schneider gets for his trades

Don’t mind a down year to really try and secure a top 5-10 pick and draft a QBOTF. There’s a looot to like about this roster moving forward especially on the defensive side of the ball. That being said, we need pro bowlers on both sides of the ball if we really want to contend. I didn’t mind Geno, but he’s at best a stop gap who’ll win you some games and lose you some games you should have won. Crazy times.
