I want to love Geno. Sometimes I do. Then, he enters the Red Zone and I want to destroy nice things.

At least we now know we won’t be paying him a huge contract. So who’s the stud QB we need to be looking at in April?

We're trading for Burrow!

I wonder if the next Seahawks QB is in the mold of a “big and mobile” guy that will just call his own number and run it in himself.

You’re starting to see a trend of this.

I might take this approach.

That red zone series the other night was so bad it almost didn't even look like Geno. It was more what I would expect to see if someone did a parody of his red zone struggles for FOX Pregame or something.

He's clearly in his own head. I don't know what you can even do about that. Whatever they've tried, if they've even tried anything, isn't working.

At some point, it should be obvious what he is. A good QB between the 20's who flat out panics and forced things in the red zone. Get him in prime time and/or against a very good team? We know the results.
And for the record, I do NOT want them to bench him.

We basically have zero chance at him but Cameron Ward will very likely be QB1 in the draft.

I say we give the Bengals 4 1st round picks for Burrow,
Then go out and sign the best free agent guard. Or trade our 2nd rounder for a guard. And draft all interior line players on both sides of the ball the next 3 years. Along with LB still think we need 1 more.

I can dream cant I 🤔💬

Many want to find excuses for Geno but he’s flat out bad in the red zone. Of course the line doesn’t help but it’s not all of it. I have my reasons for why he struggled in the red zone but it’s already been covered in other places.

If you’re not an elite processor you need to be willing to run for yardage and force defenses to respect your legs in this area and he isn’t capable of it or doesn’t do it

That's, what, four or five interceptions in the red zone?

@OrangeGravy you disagree? You think he’s good in the red zone? Do tell us how we’re all wrong.
He's not been great in the redzone this season. Historically he's been really good in the redzone. What does it tell you if this season is the outlier?

It tells me he’s not playing as well as he normally does. It tells me the line needs to be better. Many of his mistakes in the red zone are obviously him. He would say the same. The coach has talked about it. It’s not only him but as a 12 year vet who many in here including you call him elite shouldn’t we expect more out of him?

Again it’s not all his fault but he’s a part of it like I originally said.

You seem to think elite players always make the right play? I don't think he's elite. I'd put him in the really good category. Elite is reserved for Hall of Fame players.
He's clearly pressing and being overly aggressive. I'd say it was warranted through the first half of the season in order to keep us in games. It's not as needed and he'll need to accept that. That's HIS part of it. We also have ZERO OFFENSE without him this season.

Of course elite players don’t need to make the right play every time. If you’re bottom 3 in touchdowns, 3rd most picks and 19th in efficiency then you’re not making enough right plays. I don’t think that’s really good category either but I can see why some fans put him there. I think he has been there but he’s not now.

And I already said I agree, he’s our best option right now. That changes for me next year potentially. You may as you’ve said in the past think that take is laughable or stupid but I don’t agree.

There are many more "right plays" than TD passes. This offense wouldn't function at all if Geno didn't make way more "right plays" than wrong plays. Good QBs can have bad seasons in certain areas when conditions are really challenging relative to normal conditions. Bad QBs or even average QBs cannot make an offense as poorly coached and outfitted (personnel o-line) as ours. They simply wouldn't be able to move the ball as well as we have this season under the circumstances, relatively speaking.
