His knee was obvious, and there's something wrong with his shoulder or arm, don't know which, but he didn't have any strength. I think his ribs might be hurting too, he seemed really stiff. Looks like that prefer a wounded Geno over an as yet unproven QB
Dude has been taking a bearing with Grubbs stoopid offense. They're in the red zone, they're looking out on the ground, so throw the ball? What The Fruitcake?
I think he's beat up both mentally and physically.
And, yet again, I put it on Grubb.
Our offense needed to account for the fact that our Oline is shit (AND JS needs to realize this NOW, or hit the door). Instead we've done the exact opposite.
We needed the vast majority of our calls to be outside shovel passes, RB screens, Bubble screens, jet sweeps, quick 3 level crossing/underneath routes for WR1, WR2 and Slot.
QUICK QUICK QUICK Developing stuff that's easy to execute. And, oh yea, run the damn ball.
Instead we got Geno taking a ******* beating on misguided long developing plays. He's regressed this year. Big time. Difference? Grubb vs. Waldron. Oline didn't get dramatically worse or better.
He can't read down the field. So engineer it so that he doesn't have to. Don't call ANY plays that take 4,5,6,7 seconds to develop. We don't have the protection for it.
After his tenure - I've just come to realize: Geno's a decent backup QB. That's about it. Put a bad coach and a bad line on top of that, and you've got - well - exactly what we've got now.
Honestly think that JS and Grubb need to go. Geno needs to lose the starting spot and we need someone else in there next season with Geno demoted to backup. What we DON'T need to do is extend him with some 65MM contract or some shit. That would be stupid.
