I remember shortly after the draft, some predicted Jennings will have a better rookie year and career than DK.

I mentioned in the Game Day thread last week that they needed to play one of these rookie receivers so they could get injured and go on IR.

Well that is unfortunate. I guess 8 WRs was one too many. Never know, he may find his way back to the roster someday. At least it wasn't Ursua.

I would have kept Jennings and let go of David Moore. Moore started out great at first, but I have not seen him develop into anything special. Just a guy. He does not get much separation.

Fully expect Jennings to be signed to the Practice Squad once/if he clears waivers.

Not to be crude, but is Jaron Brown the ermm...third wheel for someone in the front office? Is he paying someone? Because I CANNOT for the life of me understand why he's on the roster still.

I'm not losing sleep over losing Jennings. But at least he's a rookie who could maybe develop. Brown? Good grief

I'll admit it. I'll eat my crow. Oh well, I still think Brown or Moore should've been let go instead. Danny and Gallant brought up Moore this morning. They basically asked what can he do except run go routes. That's a good question.

Sounds like a numbers game as much as anything. Glut of talent at WR and the OL looking a bit thin and banged up.

I think they really like the long term up-side of Ursua. He looks pretty exciting from his college film.

He is in a tough spot, can't block like Brown, not taking Locketts spot, DK is paying dividends, Moore is just good enough to hold him off as is Turner. Both had a year or more of time to get NFL ready and NFL bodies.

But couldn't 'go' route like DK, may be DCs haven't figure DK out yet but it seems like DK were open more so than Moore or Brown. And Russ has shown more confidence in DK in contested situations.

Turner seems to have a lock on a roster spot.

I have not seen him do anything that would make me believe he doesn't deserve it either. Never once has caused me to curse under my breath. No blatant drops. No untimely penalties. There is enough video of him out there that he would probably find a place in the league for awhile even if Seattle let him go.

Pete and Russ are both on the record saying how much they love Malik's work ethic and ability to line up anywhere and do anything they ask of him.

But, I wouldn't count Gary Jennings completely out just yet. That dude is sudden. I hope they can get him on the PS.

Brown is our best blocking WR. Turner plays special teams. Moore is a good run after catch guy on screens and probably our backup returner.

Jennings was a 4th rounder that flashed almost nothing all off season and pre season. If it’s truly a competition, he was failing. We’ve had a number of these guys over the years. None of them have done squat. So I’m not worried we’ve lost a potential star.

At least they kept Ursua on the roster. I would have been disappointed if he left. Jennings not so much.
