Game plan continues to handicap Russell. Really no reason he had so little amount of passes. I think they went inside run, play action bootleg, give away third and long play for the first 3-4 drives.

Jefferson and Clowney had great games.

Carson was out of the game too much. Didn’t like penny getting so many opportunities. If they want to pound the ball, not sure why they’d go with obvious run then PA with Carson but get penny two straight runs resulting in third and long.

Wagner is the best defensive player in the NFL.

Shaq actually had a great game, Tre flowers was awful and likely will have the worst PFF grade of any CB this year. I think he allowed 15+ passes today.

TT mistiming the second quarter bomb is really bad. Easy INT. Even the announcers were speechless.... Miss Earl.

DK looks to be a real threat and am excited for them to hopefully use him often.

Seemed like our tight-ends had trouble blocking. For Dissly being a "revered" blocker out of college, he sure has trouble doing it properly. Wouldn't mind seeing Luke Willson back if Dissly is out for an extended period of time.

You want to bash Flowers, did you see what they were doing ?

Bash Pete for not adjusting, bash Thompson for not getting there over the top. Flowers was playing with one hand in his pocket all game.

I have a feeling T.T may not get many more chances out there. Pete doesn’t tolerate that kind of play at safety, period.

That's what I saw too.TE chip blocking was ineffective letting th eDE harass Wilson much of the first half.

But who is there to replace him and will that guy be any better?

Should have cut his ass and kept Shead. Is he still out there? Get Berry someone that doesn't make stupid ass mistakes like that.

Enter Marquise Blair stage left for an audition. Looking forward to seeing him paired with McDougald. Hopefully Blair is indeed capable of playing either safety position.

First games of the season are always crazy. With that said, the defensive secondary needs a lot of work. Even with pass rush they couldn’t stop anything. They are abysmal. Hopefully that improves but next two weeks the Seahawks are playing much better QBs than Dalton. Dalton threw for over 400 yards on this secondary. Tedric Thompson is safety version of Kelly Jennings.

Front 7 was pretty good. I really think Tre will have 15 completions on him on the stat book tonight. TT needs to be upgraded, maybe Blair taking SS and mcdougald going FS. Shaq made some nice plays.

The best thing about this game was DK Metcalf showing he is the real deal.

Teams will have to play Seattle honest or pay the price. This is huge!

Seattle is blessed with great skill guys Wilson, Carson, Lockett, & Metcalf.

Shaq Griffin played great at Corner.
The defense will be okay once TT is riding the pine in the not to distant future. The pass rush will get better once Ziggy, and Reed get on the field.

I know it can be maddening at times, but Pete knows what he is doing on defense.

Clowney had a typical performance. A force against the run, merely just good rushing 1on1. Overall though a great impact on the game, even if some of the plays he makes doesn't show up on the stat sheet.

Two plays made the game closer than it could've been. The TT INT that wasn't, and the Lockett drop.

The offensive gameplan was lazy and unacceptable for a 2nd year coordinator returning 9/11 starters, with a Franchise QB. I am expecting much better next week.

3 plays my friend...........Barton running into the punter left the D on the field and cost us 3 points.

That was my hope as well, move McD to FS and Blair starting at SS. Obviously the coaches don't think he's ready be it because of being dinged in the preseason or performance in preseason/practice.

My initial thought is I can't wait to see Blair. Second thought was 'wow we almost lost to god damn Bungles again'. Gotta do better. Third thought, thank god Pete didn't repeat the mistakes of last years week 1 and 2 and gave Penny carries late in the game. Carson didn't have the greatest of games but got the first down we needed. And DK looked dominant but we all could see that

I think its a typical Carroll coached Seahawk opener... They will fix the mistakes make adjustments and move forward... I don't put to much energy into the performance because I know that it's a process and it will smooth out... I thought the front 7 on D looked good... I thought that DJ looked good.... I'm glad they got the win.... and I'm looking forward to see this group develop... I don't have any concerns at this point It's just going to take time to gel JUST LIKE IT DOES EVERY YEAR.

I thought Carson was good. We've come to expect monster games, but he was pretty darn reliable, scoring 2 touchdowns.
Plus RW was throwing to him a lot and he was catching them.

Yeah that was a pretty big one too.
