TBH, it's these threads that make me pretty nonplussed by the crazier wing of the 9ers animosity on this board (e.g. some people here actually believing that Vernon faked a hamstring injury because he's afraid of the Hawks, even after he missed the next game with the injury, etc.)

(and of course worth saying that the "crazier wing of ______ animosity" exists in every fanbase for every rivalry).

If you don't like it here, then why do you keep showing up?

I keep showing up because I do like it here, silly. Crazy happens everywhere. It's certainly not something particular or peculiar about the occasional Hawks fan. (FWIW the crazy-rate on 49ersWebzone is too high for my taste, which is why I get my 9ers talk and general NFL talk in other places).

As good a reason as any. I used to post on the real rams fan site when the Seahawks and the Rams were at the height of their rivalry. I use to have good discussions back there.

QFT. I went over there w/in the last week to try to get a flavor for how their boards looked and what the fanbase was feeling (I live in San Mateo, right near SF, and so get to/have to watch a ton of 49ers football with my buddies), and yiiiiiiiiiiikes. The number of Seahawks threads over there is flattering, but the average quality of post is just so incredibly low that it doesn't even seem like a reasonable place to talk football.
