Since 1976, the Seahawks have an overall record of 284 wins and 300 losses. From 1976-1999 the team had 179-208 record. From 2001-present the w/l record is 107-92. With 16 straight regular season wins the team will have an overall 500 record.
Is that realistic? When will they break 500?

If we project another 7 wins and 2 losses, that's 291 and 302. That means next year, if they were 13-3, they'd get to 304 and 305. At 11-5, that goes to 302 and 307 which means they'd hit .500 at 6-1 during the 2015 season.

I've been wondering about this, I appreciate the info. That said, getting to a >.500 overall record will feel hollow without a ring.

Now I'm curious how many (if any) super bowl winning teams had overall team records of under .500. I'm not curious enough to try and research it, but curious.

Tampa Bay was 160-259-1 when they won the superbowl.
New England was 226-248 when they won it the first time. (Not counting AFL record)
San Fran was 199-228-12 when they won it the first time.
Pittsburgh was 199-280-19 when they won it the first time as well.
