That must have been unbelievably painful

I never dislocated my ankle, but I fell once and dislocated my shoulder, tore the rotator cuff, broke up the bone, and tore muscles, 3years and 2 surgeries later the doctor said the rotator cuff is tearing agian an might need a 3rd surgery... I feel his pain

CBS at the time said it was only going to show one angle of it. His foot was rotated nearly 180 degrees, eliciting Bucs WR Tez Johnson to immediately motion to the 49ers sideline before covering his face in horror.

Not sure why people think he can’t make a come back. Young dude. Ankle breaks heal well. It may hurt him to move on it, but shouldn’t be problematic for his mobility, unless there are complications from surgery.

Chris Godwin looked pretty good, coming off the same injury. Dak Prescott, OBJ. Lockett was more of a mid-shaft fracture, that left the ankle intact, but similar.

Godwin is out again. He had complications as well that needed a 2nd surgery. When things break and they gotta put in metal you are never the same.

Godwin’s current injury is reportedly not related to his ankle injury from last year. Having seen a ton of athletes come back from having metal put in their body, I disagree wholeheartedly. There are some injuries where that are harder to come back from, but most can return to play at their previous level.

The same can’t be said for people who have similar injuries in their forties and up.
