First Sunday without football
(And we are the champions)

What did you do today/what are you doing?

Personally my chores are caught up so….

I’m chillin’ on the porch with an adult beverage.

I’ve got a nice roast in the oven for later.
Been checking in on the Winter Olympics occasionally.

Flying my Blue Angel F-18 jet at the Ilwalco WA airfield, going to stay at the Shelburne Inn tonight in Long Beach. Play some pool, walk the beach and have some drinks with my girl. Just chillin’.

Its a beautiful Sunday for trying to keep the little white ball from finding the woods.

We're in the middle of a family crisis. My wife was recently diagnosed with kidney cancer and will need surgery. It's by no means a death sentence, but obviously a big event. I had to cancel a cruise of the Panama Canal that I had planned. My daughter and grandson came down from their home in Spokane to visit this weekend.

As a rule, I'm in a state of limbo between now and the first of April. That's when baseball season starts and we start getting irrigation water. It's too cold to do anything outside, and I've lost interest in basketball.

Beautiful day here in the Flint Hills. I recently finished with surgery on both eyes and the results are astounding! So after the feels good post op exam I decided to take the long way home in search of Eagles. Ended up with 450 clicks to work and I'm still only part way through them. We are having brunch and trying to not be sad that there is no football for a while.
It could be harder, but we won the Super Bowl, there is baseball coming soon, Olympics are here and the summer includes the World Cup Finals!
Next season can’t get here fast enough

Thanks @pmedic920. It's large enough that they won't do it here in the Tri Cites and have passed us off to UW Medical Center and Fred Hutchinson in Seattle. There's a 76% 5-year survival probability, so we're optimistic. We've been waiting for over a week for them to call with a date for the surgery. We have a remote appointment with a renal oncologist from Fred Hutch this Tuesday.

Head cold, body aches, chest crap. It's really going around. Ruined the weekend, but finally starting to get better. Half my office and several friends with the crud recently.

I got to hold my first grand child today for the first time. Who btw was literally born three weeks ago exactly when the Hawks beat the Rams. They were watching the game in the hospital. Contractions came. Half an hour later baby comes out (priority 1), then they look up at the TV (priority 2) and right then the Hawks start running into the field in celebration!!!

Sorry to hear that and nothing but the best of luck to your wife. I will say that kidney cancer is extremely treatable so do your best in keeping positive. 🙏
