NFL Network had it as the top game of 2014. Watched it the other day for the first time since. Kind of had to chuckle at myself at the end when I yelled nooooooooo just like when I watched it live. After hearing months of explanations from RW to PC I think I kind of understand the play call. Yes Marshawn probably should have gotten it and probably would have scored. But after really watching the entirety of that final drive, it was the passing game that got them down there. Oh well. What are you gonna do? Beat a dead horse? Nah! Time for 2015 and the drive for SB50.

I think that's as good a head space as somebody can be in about that game. I'm right there with you. We can't win all the Super Bowls. 2 out of 3 will be pretty sweet.

I like 3 out of 4 even better though.

Wow, Okie, 2 minutes on that one.

I'm going to have to jam you at the line of scrimmage a little more.

Even more interesting, watching a variety of games for the entire Wilson era (2012, 2013, 2014).

Anytime there is a 1st/2nd/3rd and 1, anytime we are at the 1 or 2 yard line, it's very interesting seeing the trend of the playcall. There are a lot of pass plays, but not a lot of complaints There are quite a few Marshawn runs where he gets stopped or has a fumble.

It does continue to give more perspective on the playcall in XLIX.

((( While I still would have had Marshawn run it though, I have definitely been softening on the "worst play call ever" )))

(((( !!! Can't wait for the next season to start :) !!! ))))

We won the division, we won the conference and we have the best outlook out of all 32 teams for the 2015 season. Yes, no SB but the season was still great. It's time for the hangover of SB49 to make way for the joy of our upcoming SB50 victory.

I look at it more as if we had a healthy LOB that game doesn't even come close but crap happens .We still had a shot at the end but didn't happen for us.I will take that loss any day over that setup loss in our 1st SB.

Yep, with a healthy LOB/D we not only do not give up that 10 point lead in the 4th, but we most likely have a larger lead where the game never comes down to a final play in the first place. Ah well, ready for 2015!

You're both right in that once we win another one, this one won't seem so bad anymore.

Personally, if I'm calling that play, I go with PA to Lynch, and have Wilson roll out. Seriously, from the 1, you just can't stop that: if you crash on Wilson, he throws it over your head for the TD. If you sag back, Wilson runs it in. Plus, it's likely a 10 second play. With the kickoff, there wouldn't be enough time for Brady to do anything.

Ah well.

Butler made a helluva play.

Wilson never saw him and Lockette was oblivious to what Butler was about to do.

That's how I've come to live with the result.

Despite the fact that I will never understand not giving to to Marshawn or rolling RW out like Hawk46 said above, I agree completely with you.

You and me both.

I mean, how else can we move on peacefully?

It was a good game. I rewatched the game recently too. Up until now I tried to forget all about it.

This has been the longest off season ever.

Exactly! Rollout at a minimum. Force NE D to make a play.

Crap, I was just getting over it. Now I'm pissed again.
