It took awhile but I am finally able to post threads and post my first one HERE, and introduce myself.

I'm glenwo2 (you can all call me glen).

Now I'm not going to lie to you all here.

Long ago (in a galaxy not that far away), I was a Jets fan who had followed that franchise since the days of Vinny Testaverde and Bill Parcells but after what happened with Darnold and their subsequent trading him to Carolina, I was DONE with that franchise after wasting years of my life and fandom with them.

I found myself following Darnold.....One, because I had no team...and two, because he got crapped on for things out of his control (and I love a good underdog).

Now I am familiar with a bit of the history of the Seahawks as the most iconic moment for me is watching Marshawn Lynch go BEAST-MODE on the way to a SB Victory for the Hawks. That was totally BADASS.

After the season Darnold had, I feel he will be a very solid QB here. Hope we get a similar result this season (but with better results in the postseason).

GO HAWKS!

You're safe now with Seattle fans.

*Forgive our offseason rhetoric, we tend to cannabalize without a common enemy in sight [lol].

Welcome Glen!!

I was a one-time Saints fan after they drafted Archie, alum and all. The Saints never put together a good enough team around Archie, and he didn't play under an HC/OC that truly understood his game.

Darnold is luckier, we are putting together an excellent cast catered to his game.

Not at all, Darnold is set up to be successful here. These are my rationales:
  1. John Schneider likes him, if not downright love him. John will move heaven and earth to make Darnold a success. Schneider bundled his job security with Darnold.
  2. An OC that worked with him when they were both in SF.
  3. Our defense guarantees more offensive drives.
  4. Our new offensive system emphasizes running, which takes a lot off the shoulders of QB. We also have great RBs, although there are rumors that K9 might be traded.
Geno's problem in the last two years? His lack of chemistry with the founder and Godfather of club geNO, aka John Schneider.

There's no doubt that I am a Geno Smith fanboy, I made that clear on .NET many times. I am also one of the loudest advocates to trade Geno, I just think he will be happier elsewhere, both monetarily and job satisfaction-wise. I got my wish, so toffee is one happy old fart.

I like Darnold, a fellow Californian, I love his hometown of Dana Point and San Clement, my weekend retreats. LOL, I like redheads, great memory with redheads.

No sarcastic here at all.

Welcome, man!

It’s always interesting to find out how and why people start following the teams they do.

Cheers to your time as a Seahawks fan and hopefully you will be rewarded with another Seahawks Super Bowl like the rest of dot net also is waiting on!
