Over the years there have been different aspects of this team that were favorites of mine. Back in 1976 the logo and colors were one of my favorite aspects. Even during the lean Behring years I liked the hope and promise of a brighter future. Over the last two years my very favorite thing about this team is their never out of it mentality. This attitude was In evidence during the 20 point deficit against Tampa Bay last year. It really goes back to the 2012 season where we almost saw it in action against Atlanta. I love that this team knows they are never out of a game! I attribute much of that mentality to Russell Wilson.

What are your favorite aspects? Not players or units, but those intangibles that contribute to championship seasons.

Tough to pin one down. I'm actually going to say respect. Stemming from the way the organization treats its players on a wellness level, to classy acts like signing then releasing Garrett Scott the other weak so he could have money and medical access to help with his health issues.

In my mind its that compassion that shows the true depth of the Seahawks players and staff to this game. They seem to truly want to make it a better sport on and off the field.

Mental toughness. Kind of an aspect of the ones posted above but this team has the mental toughness to battle it out against any team.

A huge part of that goes towards fighting your own self doubts and able to ride through the momentum changes in every game. This team does that.

With the help of the 2012 Real Rob Reports, getting a peek at the culture of our locker room has been paramount in my emotional connection with the Pete Carroll Seahawks. For me, it boils down to Pete's 3 rules:

Protect the team
No whining, no complaining, no excuses
Be early

That's the foundation for a stable locker room right there. It's pragmatic discipline and it's simple; that's why it works. I'm cognizant of these tenets on a daily basis and I try to implement them in the spirit of bettering myself. The third rule is – and always has been – the toughest for me, so it requires the most concentration.

I'm a substitute teacher by day, and I'm not a sit-around-and-play-on-my-phone kind of pushover sub. I make sure to follow the teacher's plans, and I aim to leave the room and the students in better shape than when I arrived. I enjoy dropping knowledge whenever possible and often I invoke Pete's rules, with positive effect (especially #2, no whining, hello 4th graders, lol).

It really helps that the Seahawks won the SB and many kids in the South Sound are Hawks fans. When I say, "This is how the Seahawks succeed," they actually listen.

Intangible?
It's thee 12th man.
I love being a SEAHAWK fan.
And yes I consider us as one one immeasurable aspects of the team.
This is not because of the recent success but because of the journey in its entirety to this point.
Been many more lean years than fat but I've loved every one of them.
Everybody here on .net has added to my love of being a 12. :{)

Edit:not being the punks of the NFL is cool too.

The nasty bullying toughness that Pete and his coaches have instilled in this team, on both sides of the ball.

Even when Holmgren was winning, we were still a finesse first soft ass defense that teams could push around and intimidate. To finally have a defense that punches people in the mouth and does the bullying is awesome.

I think it's the Pete Carroll aspect of being able to have a good time, retain your sense of identity, but still compete at the game's highest level. With the right personalities, finding guys that have the right mind set and the desire to be great no matter what, you can run things loose and let them retain and in many ways enhance their personalities while pushing each other to be better.

It's like that at any job. The people I know who are the happiest and achieve the most are the ones who remain true to themselves and what they love to do. You can do anything you put your mind too, but if it happens to also be something you're passionate about and coincides with your personality, what you can get out of it is limitless.

The environment they've been able to create by finding those kinds of guys is what I like most.

On the field, they change players as necessary for packages. But in the stands and around the globe, 12s are united in their fandom. Ya...that is one intangible. In the Superb Owl, they felt that intangible like no other.

Oh....and not being the punks of the NFL....we still are. That is how we keep a chip on our shoulder.

How exciting the games are. Think about how many games we've won at the last minute or came back in the 4th quarter? Or else we blow them out, which is really fun to watch too. This team never gets beaten, they just sometimes get beat. It's never over till it's over with these guys, no matter how far back they have to rally, they will.

46 games (regular season/playoffs) since we last lost a game by more than one score.

The last time the Seahawks were beaten in a game that was pretty much over in the 4th quarter was week 8 2011, when the bengals were up on us 17-6.

I should have been more clear.
I meant punks as in, being thought of as an automatic win, by other teams.

Being the team that knocks the crap out of other teams. And the fact that a lot of people hate them for it. Love it

There are so many things to love. Let's see here...

First and foremost, Super Bowl XLVIII Champions. I waited a very long time to see this and my patience was rewarded with one of the most dominant victories in the history of the sport.

Second, our image as a bunch of candy-assed cream puffs has vanished. I liked a lot of the guys from past teams, but never have we had a team so complete from top to bottom, with guys who live to bring the pain. We are now *the* model franchise that all teams endeavor to become.

Third, our defense is the best I have ever seen. They have been consistently kicking ass since the second half of the 2011 season. The 85 Bears and 2000 Ravens may have been better, statistically, but they did not have to work within the confines of such restrictive rules. Neither the 85 Bears nor the 2000 Ravens had to deal with so-called "defenseless receivers".

Lastly, we have not lost by more than 7 points in three seasons. That is pretty incredible.
