Who do you want to come in from free agency. I know it doesn't mean we will sign him and I know our cap situation with people to sign. I still want to Your dream wish list.

I'll go first with me thinking of the cap down the road

1. Rico Dowdle (RB)
2. Marshon Lattimore (CB)
3. John Simpson (G)
4. Azeez Ojulari (DE)
5. Quay Walker (OLB)

Tyler Lindenbaum would be a dream. We'd have to make him the highest-paid center in the league, so I seriously doubt we're in on him, but I think it'd be worth it if we did take that chance. Haven't had that position comfortably taken care of in a long time.

Tyler Lindenbaum (or more realistically Connor McGovern)
Alijah Vera-Tucker (if he can be had for a resonable price)
AJ Epenesa (if we lose Mafe, he's not as good as Boye but will be cheaper)
Josh Jobe (I think he will be affordable)
Isiah Pacheco or Tyler Algeier (if we can't re-sign Walker)

I think Tyler Algeier at $7 million per year (what people are projecting) isn't bad for a proven back. Connor McGovern at $16 million per year might be too much, but it would be nice and not quite as expensive at Lindenbaum who is projected to get $20 million per year. Alijah Vera-Tucker is a risk due to his injury history, but that's what will make him affordable. When he's healthy, he's really good.

I thought that JS might go for someone like John Franklin-Myers to upgrade from an aging Jarran Reed, but now it looks like he might be too expensive.

Tyler Allgeier: Wide-zone runner. You'll need to make up for Walker's 1,027 yards and 5 TDs. He has a 1,000 yard season under belt when he got over 200 carries. This is what you're replacing. I like Allgeier in this offense. You give him 210 carries and he should be around 1,000 yards with TD potential. You'll also have to replace 730 yards as well. Brian Robinson has always had over 600 yards when given some consistent carries. I prefer a young explosive RB.

Eric Stokes: Zone and Man corner. Sticky with good advanced numbers. He's right on par with Witherspoon and Jobe in terms of allowing yards of separation. Runs in the 4.20s...Literally can replace Woolen's athleticism.

Malcolm Koonce: Boye Mafe racked up 40 pressures and was among the leaders in pass rush win rate (winning under 3 seconds). Koonce is also up there and he can replace this production. He's also been a solid run defender throughout his career.

Some here want to debate me on this but reality is the team is up for sale and there is going to be serious restrictions on the purse strings. The team is now under the control of Lawyers and Accountants who have been hired to facilitate the sale. No big contracts will be put on books if they don’t have to

They absolutely WILL sign a big contract or two in Free Agency, thru a trade, or re-signing one of their own.

They will not put big numbers on the books before the sale.

They will only do what is necessary to keep the team functional. Bare minimum. May have one or two mid range signings at best

I agree with Soul. Whatever the difference is between big contracts or not, will NOT effect the sale of the team. Indeed, if JS signs big names, its a good thing for a possible sale if anything. Puts a**es in seats.
With the amount of money being thrown around for a sale, cap space isn't a determinator for a potential buyer. Being a contender is a bigger attractor, if anything.

Great call on Allgeier. I’d love him in our backfield
