Agreed. I’m really shocked he couldn’t get anything more than a prove it deal from anyone. As for the Hawks they clearly weren’t willing to commit long term to him.

And Woolen's bad thing was very much magnified and cost him a lucrative deal (while almost costing his team a shot at the Lombardi)....

I was one of the first to wish him gone after that last big penalty, actually it was when he got absolutely lit up for a TD immediately following.

I called him a liability and IMHO he is.
Maybe he will “get it”, maybe he never will.
Not our problem now.

I don’t think we will miss him any more than we do DK or RW

Defensive back requires so much focus - you can't be thinking about anything other than your coverage at any moment. He was very focused on taunting the Rams sidelines - so much that he ignored the referee who was trying to save his ass. Stafford picked up on all of that and burned him immediately, knowing he wouldn't be focused.

He'll be yelling at Eagles fans before the season's over. Stafford will get the chance to torch him again, in Philly. I hope it's Puka again.

He didn't show 4.2 speed in coverage, it was to catch up, he was not a defender as much as a trailer, QB's did not shy away from him since he was also a Pass interference chance with being grabby. Sorry but the physicals didn't match up with his potential, a slower Sherman struck more fear in a QB then Riq does.

Literally no one showing 4.2 .3 .4 speed in the combine is going to show that on the field unless they also have the route ability or coverage ability. I think scouts hold TOO much onto that "straight line speed" thing. Need vision as well or its useless

Woolen was amazingly successful as a rookie, sadly it went to his head. His 2nd yr saw healthy scratches and disciplinary scratches for lazy play. 3rd year was same thing with a new head coach. Last year his play upticked though he was not a zone CB and mostly played man. Dumb penalties for upsportsmanlike plays continued from year 2 to the final year of his rookie deal. I though he was getting back to his rookie level at times BUT he’d shown what kind of player he really I was ready to Not pay him if it’d been up to me despite his unusual and potentially exceptional abilities.

Frankly happy to see him gone and relieved he is gone.

I was sure wrong....I first heard about the deal and figured for sure the thread on it would be mostly angry at our front office for not matching a prove it deal. For the majority of people that is clearly not the case.

We were linked to Aveion Terrell at the combine but if he's rated one of the top if not the best corner in the draft I can't see him falling to us.
