Have you watched this team at all this season? Nothing is an easy win.

nor are they healthy. More injured than Seahawks. This should be an easy win.

So you watched this team lose 3 out of their last 4 including blown out twice (Cardinals/Rams) and you think traveling to the East coast against a Philly team that's two years removed from a Championship will be an easy win? Yikes

The difference is Eagles took care of their division rivals. The Seahawks didn’t.

Fine then lets look at these divisions:

NFC East:
Philadelphia 9-7
Dallas 8-8
New York 4-12
Washington 3-13

NFC West:
San Francisco 13-3
Seattle 11-5
Los Angeles 9-7
Arizona 5-10

The NFC West's 3rd place team has the same record as the winner of the NFC East and yet didn't make the playoffs. The NFC East is the weakest division in the NFL.

So who's divisional rivals are actually competitive and who's aren't??

Wonder if Saints fans made the same comparison when we beat them with a 7-9 record? One game in their barn anything can happen. If Hawks dont show up in the first half and allow the Eagles to get momentum doubt they can pull this off.

In reality, who really cares if someone thinks it's an easy win?
I don't agree, but why does it really matter that someone feels that way?

The pass rush has to dramatically improve -- Wentz is too good to be given any extemded time.

This game scares me.

Eagles vs 49ers in divisional round.
They are both division winners after all..

Yeah, because the NFC East is SO tough.
Pretty sure Brett Hundley beat the $h!t out of our defense 2 weeks ago...I dont think Wentz is great but hes better than Hundley. I get the optimism but to say the Seahawks will steam roll the Eagles is a far fetched considering the injuries and how the team is playing right now.

is he better than JG?

You seem overtly focused on one bad result.. just to continue to support an incessant need to be miserable.

Noone said this game would be easy. They said the Eagles are bad

misery must love company.

If the Eagles had rolled in here and beat the Seahawks 17-9 weeks prior, fans would be saying there is no way the Hawks can overcome that.

Yet...

99.8% of the fans on this site have watched playoff football before and know it won't be an easy game.

If you are here to yell about how it wont be, please know you are speaking to like 2 people so take it easy.

The OP is right though about Philly not being good currently, due to injuries, and relative to the other NFC teams that are playoff bound.

No reason to wring your hands and freak out. Any team can lose any playoff game. But the Seahawks should win, maybe by 1, maybe by more, but they are the better football team this week.

It was quoted above by many the game would be easy...one bad result??? Guess you only watched one game this year which would explain your insight.

I watch all the games while reading through your manic explosions in the Gameday forums. That might explain your insight.

you keep whinging about the Cardinals game because it's the one that suits your narrative. Yeah, the team has lost to the #1 seed 9ers (by a mm), the #1 seed Ravens, the 13-3 #3 seeded Saints, and then got trounced by the defending NFC Champs playing for their lives. They've had some bad results.

You seem to only focus on those...

Skeptical is fine. Frustrated as things are going bad is fine. Being miserable a week before kick off seems a waste of energy, man.

This game is a significant concern. Regardless of strength of the divisions, the Eagles have taken care of business and we have clearly not. Division foes are always more difficult due to familiarity and the Eagles have won 4 straight and we lost 3 of 4.

Philly will also be prepared as they are well coached, the fans are pumped that they are making the same run they did 2 years ago and peaking at the right time (I have many family members in Philly sadly). If we come out and sleepwalk through the first half, we are going to lose. The refs will be on their side as the home team so we need to come out and take the refs out of it.

It's the playoffs. Every game will be a significant concern.

I just wonder what everyone's mood would be had Hollister fell another inch and we were hosting a Vikings team who is much better than the Eagles.

Meh..started typing something but not worth it because you are a far superior fan than me. Congrats! Gold star for you! I forgot not being ra ra superfan and being critical about the teams performance or situation gets you labeled as miserable or not a true fan.

Si puts it perfectly.
Same exact people would pumping their chests out. Sunday showed just how small the gap is between the teams. Playoffs will about be a challenge. Other than losing to Arizona, come on. They lost to the Niners (by 6 inches), the Saints and the Ravens. Possibly the best 3 teams in football. They have lost ONE other game to a team that isn't very good. 11-5 and a few inches from a division title and a 3 seed is damn good. Especially considering how many injuries this team has.
The team absolutely HAS to play better, especially for 4 quarters, we all get that. I mean, they were horrific in the 1st half on Sunday and STILL should have won that game. New season starts Sunday. Just gotta' get hot at the right time.

Probably pretty good! Home game coming after a huge comeback vs arguably a superior team and another NFC west title. Cousins arguably having a ton of pressure on him to win. The match up probably is better with Philly but pretty sure fans would of wanted to see a win last week.

Surprised by that.

I think Minnesota is a far superior team than the Eagles. Defensive line is their strength, and they have far more attacking talents than the Eagles.

I am not saying you hope for a loss to avoid them, just think they are a tougher game.

Also... knock it off with the "far superior fan" nonsense. You and I are yin and yang on here. Im not questioning your fandom. I know you're in it for the long haul.

Certainly can handle calling each other out on it.

I get it. Would be boring if we all agreed. Was a frustrating ending which brought back nightmares of 49 so yes misery for sure and the performance vs the Cards was one of the worst in years. Just sucks we missed an opportunity at a bye get a bit healthier and imo a very good chance to get back to the sb...dwelling on it yes. I think they can win but for some to say easy is not the case. Eagles have nothing to lose and have zero expectations on them which imo makes them a dangerous team to play against. Healthy...we beat them...right now it could go either depending on what team shows up sunday. Vikings would have to beat us in our house which has not been easy to do in the playoffs...
