If Revis was smarter, he woulda' batted that ball down.
But he's not smart...
Looks like Tampa Bay will win - Barring a miracle.

How hilarious would it be if that determined the game...

Wow, MIA with 2 rush yards...

I have Miller as my back in my money league. My opponent has Dolphins D. We're freaking tied right now and looks like its going to stay that way

He was celebrating the pick like he won the game.

Wonder how Sherman would have handled that situation? Takes a lot of discipline to not go for the pick.

One of the best plays I ever witnessed was when Brian Westbrook (IIRC), slid down at the 1 instead of walking in for a TD. It gave the Eagles a first down and they were able to run out the clock, instead of having to kick off. Brilliant. The player that does such things should be rewarded come contract time just as if he scored that TD (or picked that ball).

Pretty sure if Sherman had caught the ball, he would have tried to return it.

Sherm definitely likes to run with a football in his hands. Probably playing out that WR fantasy Harbaugh sold him at Stanford, lol.

Sherman was a WR in high school and the first half of his college career, just FYI.

Wish that Coach Shitano guy would come back to the forum for a bow, he was damn funny. I think he would be questioning Revis's commitment to losing right about now :)

You Rang???

I'm sorry fellas, I actually meant to stop by and visit during the game - but this one was too much of a cardiac game for me to turn away from. Too many outside factors overcame my determination to lose. I am thoroughly disgusted. I'll explain in a new thread.

Coach, it really seems like the Dolphins wanted it more. They stopped blocking for Tannehill. They didn't bother to run the ball for even double-digit yards, and you're running Bobby Rainey out there and scoring TDs! It seems like you lost your focus.

I know you tried to get it back by having Revis catch that INT instead of batting it down, but you forgot to tell him to fumble it away after catching it. Just no focus on your part, Coach. I'm disappointed.

There were many factors involved tonight. As talented as I am at cooking up a loss, there were too many other issues trying to force a win. I explain some of the extra-curricular stuff here:

I was suggesting as much but apparently worded my post poorly. It was no secret Sherm had visions of playing the WR position, then Harbaugh "screwed him over" in making him a DB. As much as I despise Jimbo, the notion that he screwed Sherman over in that ordeal has to be the biggest misconception ever manifested. As a WR, he would probably resemble our own Sid Rice (IMO), as a DB, he has no equal. When that 100 mil contract gets inked, he needs to be sending Harbaugh X-mas cards and naming his kids after him. At least the boys.

Sherman said he found out after the fact that Harbaugh was trash talking him to NFL scouts leading up to the NFL draft we got Sherman in. THAT's definitely not a misconception.

IIRC, Sherman made the choice to become a DB to get on the field and away from Harbaugh. He felt like he couldn't be himself on offense so he asked David Shaw to switch. Shaw at first denied his request. It was Shaw who later allowed him to make the switch (Shaw is still a close friend and mentor to Sherm today).

I think this sums it up well

A year later, Sherman went back to Shaw with the request -- and got his wish.
"At receiver, you're limited. If the quarterback has a bad game, you're having a bad game," he explained. "But at cornerback, no matter what's going on, if your man doesn't catch the ball, you're having a pretty good day. You control your own destiny."
