It's just the same stuff, happens all the time. Packers would have won except for the "Fail Mary" (conveniently forgetting the six sacks in the first half, and the fact that you aren't going to win many games in the NFL scoring only 12 points). SF would have won if Justin Smith had played. Redskins would have won if RG3 wasn't hurt. Etc, etc. Weak sauce.

We would have been able to keep more pressure on your defense the whole game that's for sure. Lynch would have become less of a factor had we increased the lead even more. The game became a war of attrition which we slowly lost because our defense couldn't get off the field.

You're right though, a win is a win. Hopefully in future years we are able to field a healthier team in this situation, but yesterday we were outplayed with the players on the field.

Shanahan deserves to be blasted for not pulling out RGIII after the second touchdown...especially if itts an ACL.

What if Clem and Haushka weren't hurt? God I am so sick of this.
You go into battle with all you have. If that isn't enough you lose. You don't whine and try to blame others. Butt hurt!

Does the Packers win against the Vikings come with an asterisk?

All I have heard was how the Packers took care of business and demolished the Vikings.
Not a lot of talk about it happening against Joe Webb.

If RG3 was their best chance to win - then the Hawks took the Skins best - and won.

All I'm hearing now on various networks is how Seattle won, but perhaps a totally different game if RGIII wasn't hampered with knee problem. Does anyone think we would have loss otherwise. I think it might have been a closer game, but I believe we still would have won.

Thoughts?
If if if....IF Braylon catches the damn ball week one we're playing this game in Seattle. Anyone think it's a totally different game then? yeah?

We are the better team. Period. End of story.

The real sticking point no one is mentioning is the fact they had us down 2 touchdowns and only got under 100 yards more offense in 3 quarters, while giving up 400 yds of offense and 24 straight points.

Its the same as usual and we should stop being so feelings hurt from it. I said last week the headline would be Seattle didn't win, Redskins lost.

And so what?

I said yesterday on the Gameday Forum after Aikman and Buck had already started with this same kind of shit and that the "excuse machine" was already fired up. If there is an asterisk, it's not just for RGIII being injured, it's also for that dirt parking lot of a field that everyone had to play on. On turf or a good grass field like in AZ/Miami/SD/etc. we beat them far worse.

Besides, bottom line is by Thurs. all the noise will be about the upcoming game so it's not gonna matter anyway.

No Doubt. Bob got them up by 14 and I'm pretty sure that Bob don't play defense. Blame it on RG knee all you want, but the defense let them down yesterday.

While we clearly benefited from some questionable coaching decisions on behalf of the 'skins, the fact remains that we overcame a 14 point deficit to beat the crap out of them in a horribly demoralizing fashion.

No more than Green Bay's game would as Ponder didn't play after beating GB the week earlier. Webb hadn't throw a ball all day. No team can control what the other teams does, who is injured, or who plays or doesn't. A good team plays their game regardless of the opponent and takes care of business. Playoffs are a lot about getting breaks, this was just a break for Seattle and we capitalized.

If Braylon catches the ball, we would've had the week off.

To be fair, the national media (ESPN, NFL Network, Fox, etc.) are NOT referring to this game as a "what if". They are giving the Seahawks all kinds of props and some are saying we're the favorites to win the Super Bowl.

I love that we are finally getting the respect we've felt like we deserve. This is not an asterisk game.

Do they go up 14 if not for the field condition? Live by the sword and die by the sword. Keeping the field in a condition that slows down the game and definitely affects the team not use to it more helps them to get early leads but the trade off is it risks injuring it's own players. Fix the field and RG is probably healthy. The trade off though is your much less likely to go up 14 points while the visiting team adjusts to the horrid field conditions.

it's too bad about griffin's knee.

but it was a tale of 2 quarterbacks, and wilson is clearly better.

It was during the game he was hurt again. I watched the game again and he was moving fine until the Skins 2nd TD series that he was hurt. Players always are hurt in games, its part of the game. The Skins fans and apologists can Suck wind...
