It definitely played a role with communication issues as multiple times guys went through literally untouched. Part of this is Ifedi having a new center to his left and guys alternating on his right. Having said that a lot of this game was just flat out getting beat over and over. The tackles were atrocious but Ifedi regressed big time and was probably just as bad. He looked slow and hesitant a lot yesterday. Strange game for him, maybe he's hurt?
But to answer the original question I do think missing Britt cost us points yesterday.
I remember Walter Jones going through some troubled times after Steve Hutchinson bolted to the Vikings, and Steve Hutchinson taking a giant step backwards with his new teammates...That's exactly what they're talking about when they use the term "Chemistry", Britt not being there had a lot to do with Ifedi missing his assignments.
You can be 'All World HOF Great', but if there's a disruption to that continuity, you get a ripple affect, and in the case of Britt not being there to anchor and call for protection sets, Russell Wilson was "TOAST"
If I recall correctly, didn't Matt Hasselbeck use to buy his O-Linemen thank you gifts for keeping him healthy & upright?
So yeah, I think there's an obvious correlation to Britt not anchoring, and the faltering Offense only coming up with a measly THREE points.
