I keep saying DK is not a chess piece you trade.

You know how hard it is to find a playoff gamer?

Big clutch games with big time receivers that show up aren’t something that grow on trees and are easily obtainable.

You build an offense around DK and his abilities and you’ll see the team thrive!

DK has a knack for the biggest moments, which is a special trait in an athlete. Beyond the playoff performances that 4th down no time left TD to beat the Vikings comes to mind as well.

Going on a few years now I've been wishing everyone brought it the same way that DK does in the biggest games.

Dog. Tone Setter. Give me the guy that needs to be reigned in over a passionless guy who needs a fire lit under them.

I was thinking of having DK traded to the bears or to the cowboys.
Can't imagine the Bears wanting to trade what it takes to get DK after just trading the 32nd overall pick for a vastly inferior WR in Chase Claypool.

I would have zero interest in trading DK though. I'll take what happened to the Titans as a warning.

Some of the mocks I see is bears trading down just to pick Quentin Johnston

Yeah, if they dropped from 1 to like 9; and then dangled 9+ for DK I might listen.

But then you're on the hunt for a prototype WR1 that probably won't present themselves to you again. Hawks are already pretty thin at WR beyond WR1 and WR2.

Luv the dude, but hoping the cerebral part of his game catches up with the physical part of his game next year.

DK may not be improving all aspects of his game as fast as some would like, but I am seeing steady improvement.

I think he's a huge asset moving forward, especially if a new, young QB comes in.

Some girls will buy a Wilson or Metcalf jersey at Walmart then think their idol becomes off-limits and untouchable. And becuz they got that jersey with their membership card??

Well, just how much math does a girl really need to know?

I sure don't want to give the impression I dislike DK. Quite the contrary. In fact, I'm a huge fan. But I'm of the opinion (which isn't worth much) that a receiver at his paygrade is a bit of a luxury for us and where we are right now. Unsure why the term "rebuilding" is so loathed, but I don't know what else to call it. "Reloading"? Oh please. Play-offs or not, we are right now not a real good football team.

A high priced WR like DK is kinda like lipstick on a pig. DK is a fan favorite and he puts butts in seats. Do we really need such window dressing or should we use his value to build towards another serious run?

In the NFCW, it's almost a given that we (and all) need to win the division to win the conference. SF, IMO, is the high watermark for the time being. With that, I don't feel we absolutely need to rush this rebuild. I think it's going to take 2-3 years to get all the pieces in place and by that time DK will be in line for yet another contract and we will have spent $72,000,000 on lipstick.

DK was pretty much the only guy dragging the Hawks into the fight in the playoffs and the main reason why they kept it competitive with the 49ers for the amount of time that they did. They need more guys like that, not less.

More angry guys, less wallflowers.

I kind of understand that line of reasoning; but that logic would then follow that every well payed player in the league should be on a contender. That's not how it works. You need good young players in order to build it back up; and DK should be part of it.

DK just turned 25 and will be going into his 5th season in 2023.

Mike Evans first 6 seasons: 2-14; 6-10; 9-7; 5-11; 5-11; 7-9. They didn't trade him, they didn't worry about having a really good WR on a team that wasn't a Super Bowl contender. They justifiably saw him as a key component of their build.

You trade DK and you end up spending resources and money on trying to find another one. Look at what the Titans did - there is no way, shape or form in which they are better off for what they did. This is a toothless offense without DK. Perfectly synching up when your core contributors arrive isn't realistic.
