Schefter added DK wants to go to a contender.
Are the Hawks a contender? Not yet. Again, he's not saying something that countless players haven't already said when it's time for a trade.
To add to the constant hilarious entertainment, people are mad at the guy for doing what players have been doing for years.
As usual, it's ok for everyone BUT DK.

We went from just over $13M yesterday to over $32M today. Getting there.

So long to Lockett, appreciate you. See you in the Ring of Honor.

Hope we can get something good out of the DK situation if we are going to lose him.

So…Bobo lovers…where you at?

Losing DK wouldn’t be a good thing contrary to the posts on this thread,

Unless we net a 1st (not happening) or a 2nd and 4th as someone mentioned earlier.

Some of you will get your wish.
Losing DK Metcalf would 100 percent be a downgrade. I don't think that most people are disputing this, Bobo cannot replace that production. The kicker is the price to production value of DK.

Many people on here trash DK, but he is legitimately a good receiver. The issue here is that his price does not match his production. He is not a top tier receiver in the NFL, he has elite traits, but struggles to be consistent. His on the field behavior is also suspect and he's prone to big mistakes. JSN was productive without DK, certainly it opens up a hole in the team -- but it potentially frees a lot of resources to fix the offensive line.

I agree. I don’t want to see them trade DK, I think he will net a nice return not a great one. If he was to be traded I would change my stance on what to do with Geno.

I still get the feeling he will be back and this is as leverage to get a better deal from the Hawks. Time will tell.
I'm very mixed on where I think Seattle should go if DK doesn't stay. I think my opinion on what they should do with Geno would change very little (extension, with most guaranteed money next season, a moderate commitment for 2026, very little-to-nothing tied up in 2027) but my outlook for the team as a whole would change tremendously if we lost DK and Geno.

It would be disappointing because I feel like our defense got figured out last year and if we hadn't run the Grubb experiment on offense, I think last year could have turned out much differently. We seem poised to turn that page.

If you lose basically the entre core of your offense, it's hard not to see next year as a lost year and step one in a rebuilding phase with a very uncertain outlook.

We'll see.
