Do people think he has control over what the press decides to do with the information they get? Should he have called all the media outlets before requesting the trade and ask them nicely if they could please wait until a more appropriate time to leak it?

To add to that…I’m a Lockett fan. How can one not be?

I could see this being more likely to happen if the Hawks threw in Geno as well. I don't think any of the good QB's will fall to Pete, and I don't see him overpaying for a QB either.

I'm willing to bet his agent asked for permission before leaking this. I can't see his agent just doing this and potentially pissing DK off if he ended up having an issue with it. Shades of RW3.

I do not want to pass judgement until I see free agency and the draft conclude to be honest. But right now on paper it looks like this team will have to be carried by the defense until the offense finds a proper footing.

Im ambivalent. Good, sometimes great player, but replaceable, and worth more in opportunity cost than his production on the field. Trade DK and Geno in a package deal for a 1st or 2nd this year and a 1st or 2nd next year. With all that cap space saved, we could build the Oline of the Gods, shore up our D, draft our qbotf this year or next, and put him in an ideal situation to grow and succeed. Good wideouts are more common than good qb's.

The Seahawks have released the players people expected them to release. 4 other big name WRs are being traded, cut, or are on the block. Metcalf is on the final year of his contract and wants to know where he stands. Not a big deal. Most fan bases are looking at the same issues with players on their team.

Losing DK wouldn't be the end of the world, but it would be one more hole to fill. It's just too much to get done in one off-season. Unless a miracle happens and Schneider crushes it it with his first four draft picks. Not likely. Defense will really need to ball out.

I really like DK, and I feel if we did trade him it would be a massive hole to fill. He does make bone headed plays at times but man he is a force. Even if we get a boat load of draft capital for him we still would have to hit on the picks. JS hasn't shown to hit on very many lately. For me, I HOPE WE DONT TRADE HIM.

I wonder if it's just coincidence that the Cowboys restructured Dak's contract today to free up cap space to add 36.6 million to their cap....I can definitely see the Cowboys making a play for DK to pair with Lamb and Dak...
