DK is going to be the premier target on a weak WR market (both FA and draft) and is only 27 after consistent near 1000 yard seasons. He's a freshly 27 year old with plenty of great years left.

Damn, didn't see this coming from his side at all.

If I were to guess, I'd say extension talks did not go the way he hoped. DK is in the unfortunate spot of being uniquely gifted in ways difficult to easily replace but also lacking in some key areas that prevent him from being one of the true top 5 guys in the league.

Not sure yet how to interpret what this means for the bigger team picture.
I was gonna say this sounds like DK wants A LOT of money and JS said absolutely not. If that's true it's best it happened now. Even with Devonte Adams available and a very weak WR draft class we should get good compensation for him.

Good luck getting a first rounder for him now. Will probably be something like a second and a fourth.

I still wouldn't trade him.
That's the thing, just because he's requesting it, doesn't mean it'll happen. Then again, the DK is Satan crowd is getting what the want.

Congrats, I guess.

This is classic DK. Hears about Seattle listening to a trade offer from Green Bay, decides to throw a tantrum and demand a trade. If this sounds familiar, it's basically how he handles his game on the field, only this time it doesn't include a 15 yard penalty.

How’s that? If you’re Schneider you can play the “we’re fine keeping him if we can’t agree on an offer” now he can’t really play that card… seems pretty logical we just lost a lot of leverage in negotiations.
You're going to have multiple teams trying to put together a package bidding against eachother. You aren't getting less than you would if he didn't request a trade.

Lockett as well and an average QB along with no offensive line. We have a a lot of holes to fill.
The DK thing is big, but Tyler was a WR3 who was getting paid like a WR1.

Losing him didn't create a 'hole' (except in our hearts), that was the right move to make, football-wise.

Potentially losing our WR1 is a completely different ball of wax and needs to be evaluated separately.

Agree about Tyler, a class act and will be missed. Just think we are in rebuild due to our QB, Oline and who knows what with the WR's.

I don't see how this tanks his value in any way. The market for wrs is incredibly thin and the prospects in the draft are as well.
I have always thought that if we can get a first we should trade him. If not we keep him, not really difficult.
He is under contract and we can tag him after that. Freak outs about this are silly.

Dear God, you DK bashers are like 5-year-old babies.
Yeah. I don't get the hate. Reminds me of Sherman when he left. Although their situations were different. The way our fans act, you would think the player in question committed some type of atrocity against their family or something.

I will say though, if he doesn't want to be here anymore, then let him go and try and find the best deal possible for the team.
