Mannnnn. When GB was mentioned in the trade talks, I was like ‘Yikes’.

I can see it now…Riq watching DK blow right by him for a 60 yard TD.

😝
EXACTLY.

Edit: only part you left out was during a ******* 5 foot of snow playoff game in January in Lambeau.

what raises and bonuses? He had a year left on his contract.

He also didn't really look for a better situation, he requested a trade and had no input on where he would land. The only thing better about his situation now is the money, which is why I kind of roll my eyes at the farewell.
He knew Geno was leaving, also in the NFL the players almost always start talking when they go into the last year of their contract, we don't know where John and him stood about his next one, but it does not appear to be good. He knew his role in the next offense also, may not have been one he relished, possibly due to more plays he was going to be exposed as well as more focus on JSN and the TE's.

Not in this thread but earlier comments were made about DK going to an OC who knows how to use him better. Agree to disagree cause I am nowhere near as high on Arthur Smith as that.

Classy move, respect.

I have zero ill feelings toward DK, in fact, I'm really happy for him. His potential was never going to be fully realized here in Seattle, we're just going in a different direction. And I will never slight someone for making a career decision that is best for themselves and their financial future.

Now, if only DangerPuss could have shown this much class when he departed..

Pittsburg is the perfect place for DK. They are a physical team and he is a physical player. The coach will not put up with DK losing his shit drawing selfish retribution penalties. Thomlinson has him locked in for 5 years, he doesn't have to worry about his short term happiness.

DK is a likable guy. I wish him well.

Agree. It has to be about the money, he knows he had no control over where he was traded and was going to the team that offered the most draft capital. He knows that team would have to pay him to justify the trade.

It's a win win for Seahawk fans. Got a good pick, free up cap space for the trenches, and we get to watch Pissburgh force feed him to their detriment

One last thing.....did DK hurt your feels?
He didn't hurt my feelings but he changed them. Over the decades I have generally supported every Hawk that moves on for one reason or another with very few exceptions. I was a GeYes guy and a DK supporter until they asked for trades. If you don't want to be here then I don't want you here.

Great player, great competitor, and even greater person. He'll be missed. I'm still frustrated we traded our best receiver since Largent for peanuts, but I have no hard feelings toward DK and I hope he kills it in Pittsburgh. Won't surprise me when he finds himself regularly in the All-Pro discussion.

Also couldn't help noticing:
DK - wrote nice letter thanking fans
Lockett - wrote nice letter thanking fans
Geno - ain't write back
Best receiver since Largent? Am I crazy for believing that Baldwin and Lockett were better? Dies anyone else think JSN is/will be better than DK.
We traded him for what he was worth. There is a reason teams weren't lining up to get him for a 2nd. Didn't we also have to give a 6th to get the 7th rounder. Shitsburg didn't even think he was worth a straight up 2nd. It would seem contenders weren't interested or didn't believe he is a guy that could put them over the top.
I'll be shocked 1) if DK finds himself in the all pro convo 2) if he isn't traded before the contract is up because he can't perform at s level that justifies his new 💰.

I'll miss the enormous talent DK brought with him, and the fact that its going to be hard to replace him. I will not miss the sheeer stupidity of those personal foul calls. But DK has always been a diva, and with divas that's what you get. Hopefully we replace him with someone with near the talent and nowhere near the drama. TBD

The laugh react non-response: the easiest way to say "Yeah, I've got nothing".
